Small Engine

So how rare is rare? I have spent a week in abandoned ruin 2 (only have the first 2 unlocked so far) and haven't found it. Found an industrial size engine and have made a ton of gols, but no engine yet. Does it drop in ruins 2?

I had a ton of trouble with this as well. I got mine from the Hazardous ruins (level 1), the Amber island cave quest, and from the Mysterious man for 5 old parts each (he visits on the 27th through the 28th, you can buy two engines each day). Now I have like, a dozen extra.

You can mine them in Abandoned Ruins #1, or in a random chest in the Hazardous Ruins.

Not sure if the droprate has changed but I have farmed a good amount in Abandoned Ruins#1 and gone none.

You get 1 from the first level of the Hazardous Ruins and maybe one extra if you're lucky but I seriously feel they are a pain to farm and either the droprate should be "upped" a bit or we should be able to craft them ourself.

Once I made it far enough to start farming ruins, it became easy to get engines from drops and the seller.

I got like 6 in ruin#1 and i did not finish the bridge yet, lol. I was suprise by getting 6 in the first 10 days, lol.

I used to get them in AR 1, but haven't had one drop in at least 2 seasons now. I'm actually about to fail a 3600g commission if I don't find one soon >.<

Don't know how well you fare in Combat, but Hazardous Ruins Level 1&2 yield quite some. Per Run I get around 3-5 Small Engines (along with many other useful parts and things, for example Copper Bars)

Hazerdous Runins 1 you are guaranteed a Small Engine from the boss. You can also get them from the large chests. I usually get 2-3 per run.

They also can be found in Abandoned Ruins 1. I was in there yesterday and found 3 just looking for copper.

Also you can purchase 4 from the Mysterious man when he comes into town. On the 27th in the afteroon/evening he will arrive in town, you can get 2 then the next day he will be in the public square selling and you can get 2 more. They cost 5 small parts each.

Hazardous Ruins lvl 1 and lvl 2 , two small engines each level

You need two small engines for those profitable water engine orders.

The chests are random. Sometimes you won't get engines from them. The boss drops are set and you always get 1 from him at the end.

There's an inverse proportionality to the availibility of items: the more you want something the rarer it is.

If you're lucky, you can fall of from the map in abandoned ruins and collect every relic, loot in that map. Just happened once and no idea how can i do that again. I was digging a hole, nothing special. Its very rare exploit.
I think fastest and easier way is farming hazardous ruins level 2. You can also convert 5x old pieces to 1x small engine in mysterious man shop but i dont think its worth it.

I kept getting them quite easily from the AR#1 and the Hazard' Ruins level 1 run would give me like 1 ~ 4.
