"Small Planter Box" ....

I need to make a small planter box but I have no idea how. The green book reads "learn to craft the small planter box with...." but it doesn't specify HOW MUCH of each item. I go to the Lv1 Assembly Station and the Lv2 Worktable, hoping they might allow me to craft them, but the Small Planter Box isn't on the list.

The book reads "press right mouse to use", so I equip it, select it and use the right mouse. I expected the box to appear in front of me. Instead, I just forward roll on the floor in front. Not very useful.

Is this a glitch or is the game just designed to be unclear or am I misunderstanding something?

Use the right click with the book in the inventory. You will learn the blueprints.

Open inventory and right-click the book from there. You don't actually "read" it. It will just disappear and you'll get the recipe.
