how to get iron bars?

i cant make a level 2 assembly station without iron bars. and to make iron bars i need to use a civil furnace.

Hi there Ollipopz,
I believe that the civil furnace is available on Assembly Station one, just not initially.

It sounds to me like you may need to visitPetra at the Research Center with data discs, and choose the Research option when interacting with her.

Give her the smallest amount(s) first, wait for diagrams, rinse & repeat, until you're caught up.

edit:
There are around a dozen diagrams that will only be obtainable that way in the game, but some of them will not be unlocked/researchable until you've reached a specific point in your main mission path.I hope this helps:)
