so sorry - I didn't see the gamepad part there
We were chatting about the hotkey bars here, if it helps:

Thanks for the feedback!
The dev team are still making adjustments to the controller side of things, so I will pass these comments over to them. The hotkey bar wrap around could be useful, so I will definitely mention this!
Thanks, that helps.
I didn't even think to bind that, but the gamepad controls really need a key that does the same thing.
I also think it would be a good idea if it switched with the last slot on the hotbar if the hotbar is already full. That would be especially useful for when you need to hold items to build or use things.
Super glad I've got this on PC and Steam so I can do things like this. The controller configuration feature is probably one of my favorite features on Steam.
Having a Steam Controller is also really nice, those two grip triggers are a lifesaver for when I want to move gamepad controls and add keyboard functions without leaving buttons unaccounted for.
At my desk I use a KB+M like most PC gamers, but games like this I like to play from the couch, where KB+M aren't really feasible.
I just edited my initial post because I had not seen the "gamepad" part of your post, and gave you a "pc" reply
It was useful because I'm playing on PC and am able to bind KB+M controls because of the Steam Controller Configuration Menu. I just like playing "chill" games like this from my couch with a gamepad a lot of the time. I play Stardew Valley the same way.
So when you crafting something in the assembly bay you need to have items in QuickBar to put them into construction area.
I often have my items somewhere in the inventory, so I need to open inventory and go to item, then press X button and then go down to QuickBar and press A button.
It would be nice to have a hotkeys in Inventory screen that would remove items from QuickBar to empty Inventory slot.
And a second hotkey that would put an item to empty QuickBar slot.
e.g.
Press Y in Inventory screen to remove item from QuickBar.
Press X then Y to instantly move item into empty QuickBar slot.
BTW, I play this game on xbox 360 compatible gamepad.
This can now be done by selecting the item with left click then pushing "R" by default. You can't just mouse-over it, you have to actually left click it. I think making it mouse-over would be ideal but having the function at all is nice.
Sorry to necro the thread, just didn't want to start a brand new one over the same thing
