Older avatar?

I see that this game has character creation which is nice...but from what I see from the trailer and a few pictures...almost every avatar looks like a small child...is there an age bar or some sort of feature that lets my character look older?

At the moment no and I'm really awkward about it as well. The character is supposed to be around 18-19 but honestly he looks barely 16 and when you can date people that are obviously in their 40ies it's quite uncanny.

Some age option would be VERY welcome in the future, but maybe it's already planned and I'm just not aware of it since I never followed development of the game and just got it :D

a height slider would be cool. I dont mind being short since im short irl but yea that feature would be nice too

This one would be more complicated because of clothing options I think.

Related to the above - in a way. The guys kneeling to kiss the MC and Sam referring to the MC as kid yet she is one of the marriageable candidates... it is rather disconcerting.

Can't agree more with this. There's quite a few cases where the MC both look and is treated as a kid by characters that can be romanced and married to. I'm fine with being open minded about relationships with relatively high age difference but there's limits not to cross too.
