When you run in, roll or sprint past him to where you're behind.
Whack! whack! quickwhack!
Now look out, he's about to put some methane into the equation: get ready to roll or sprint to the side.
From (to scale abt 25') a distance, turn to/face him and see which direction he is facing now: that's the way he's about to spin.
(Super spin I should say, if he gets you with a crit on roll, he rolled me for nearly 650hp once, really surprised me.)
While he's spinning, keep up with him close enough (not enough to get the spin damage, though) so that when his spin stops (his weak moment), you can get 3 or 4 swings in before he turns to face you.
As he starts to turn, right-click to dodge roll, aiming to get behind him as he is turning.
Rinse & repeat.
It really helps to grow cotton (& buy at Carol's), pick herbs (some locs in game give 20 ea. herbs vs. the norm of qty.3), make simple ointments at your worktable gift tab - you'll need to use a blender for the herbal tea component; buy healing items at the clinic, esp. when market is low;
Befriend the civil corps npcs amongst the first, each one boosts your stats greatly, incrementally:Arlo's boon is attack & critical hit, Remington's is defense, and Sam's is resilience [resistance, mainly to crits and possibly elemental, other (?)]
It's most definitely worth looking through everyone in the social tabs to see what their relationship benefits are, if any.Phyllis boosts yourstamina;check them all out. I'm looking forward to the next update which is purportedly focused on npc development.
Also, how are you using your skill points? defensively/offensively/foraging/socially?
Do you have the best clothing that you can buy (at Carol's)?
When you upgrade your workshop/home, you get higher allowances: to utilize furniture with statistics. I.e., there's not much point in having 380 stamina adds worth of furniture, if your home is only counting 100 points max.
[imho though, I would upgrade the land a few times first before home upgrades... just my preference]
I hope this pep talk convinces you - you can take down Piggy Bot 007 :D
[involves much speed-rolling from one end of the platform to another, while twirling your sword like a majorette]
Way to go there both of you, john.h.cox & White Tiger! =)
Still glad to hear you got passed it! Just a bit puzzled lol.
As long as you don't get hit everytrhing is ok but being hit twice without healing (or while figuring out how to heal) is very lethal.
Just needs a little slower reflexes and maybe a lagging game to become very difficult.
The first rule of Piggy-Bot Fight is don't mention...uhm nvm. Just don't ever stand in front of him :P
