If you have a good storage system it's not that bad. The biggest issue I have with it is that it takes too long to sort everything out because game time goes so fast. You easily loose an hour or two sorting and putting stuff away from a day of ruin/dungeon diving.
And yeah that's why, going from 1 chest to another , then you collect all your crafted stuff and you can go ahead and sort it again, you kill a few enemies, same deal, etc gets kinda tiresome
You have chests (lockers in that game but same thing) that you can give name and colour same as here. But you can also assign a short list of items or item groups to each chest. On top of those 'regular' chests you have one 'auto-sort' chest. You put all the items from your inventory in that chest and it automatically puts it in the chests you assigned to those items (or if it hasn't been assigned to a particular chest it gets sent to a chest that hasn't got a specified item list and accepts everything else).
There's also another mod called auto-craft that automatically pulls any items you need for crafting out of chests in your base (yard in our case) so you don't need to run around getting or looking for stuff.
Those 2 mods make inventory management/crafting a breeze in Subnautica.
No I mean REALLY.
yeah being able to craft with stuff not in your inventory would solve everything for me. You could literally just have chests with "crafting stuff" and put in whatever the hell and then 1 with furniture n stuff, would be perfect.
Yes, this game definitely needs quick stack!! Way too time consuming constantly searching for everything in your bag to organize into chests. I really, really hope a quick stack button is in a future update.
I would rather it not be messed with too much. Again this is just my opinion. I am in no way telling anybody to stop campaigning for their views.
Edit: Evidently I already responded to this thread earlier. Man my memory is terrible.
I consider organization and sorting part of the game core, I don't want it done for me.
I wouldn't mind being able to assign a major heading or group type to chests though and having everything of that type get dumped into the chest with a single click command though.
Imagine a "Wood" chest. You click the command, all wood related goes in. From there I can sort how I like it or just hit the sort key as we do now. If you don't use the command to assign a group, the chest functions as it does now for any odd things I want to keep where I want them.
Honestly though, the day just goes by too @#$% fast...
Cheers..!
