Red Star Icon?

There's a red star icon next to Antoine and now he's asking for vegetable salad. What's the red star for, and am I going to be penalised for not fulfilling his request? I've just started Summer so cannot grow lettuces.

Any suggestions on what I can do? I would love this game to have a greenhouse option.

I think it only means if you do it you gain extra relationship points. I don't think you will be pinalised

I haven't seen any penalising. It is probably just an indicator, that the request isn't related to the story line.

As said before just some relationship points and a bit of gold. Once I also got a relic sack (the once that are sold from the Mysterious Trader) Some of the things people request are also things they like so once you know you can keep on gifting it to them. But for example Aadit requested some plant from Alice shop but if I try to gift it to him after the quest is done he just says" next time choose a better one". So this was just a one time thing.

The devs called it a wishlist that they added to NPC's. Some of the things you gift turn out to be favorites or likes of the NPC's and other result in a reward.
