Horse Training

I'm not liking the new horse training mechanic. Currently, the horse you can buy is substantially worse than the horse you can rent, and it takes 10 hours to raise any one of its poor stats by around 5-10%. The problem is that you have to leave your horse in the stable for that 10 hours while it is training. So, it ends up that after you purchase the horse, you either ride around on a much worse horse and never really train it, or you leave it in the stable all the time for training while you rent a horse that is much better. The training would probably take about half a month to a month of constent training to get it up to snuff, all while riding around on the rental. Consdering that buying a horse also costs more than 5 months worth of renting, it isn't worth it.

We should at least be able to ride around on the horse while it is training. I wouldn't even mind as much that we have to take 5 months to have return on investment and a portion of that with horse that has inferior stats if we could at least be using the horse during that time.

Just yesterday I finally got my horses fully trained (except for loyalty). I bought the three horses (one each day for three days in a row) until the sales/rental window told me I already owned the max number. Then, I rented the horse while training mine. Since McDonald takes the rental horse (formerly known as Whisper :p) back after a week, what I did was after 6 days of rental, I turned the horse back in, and instantly re-rented, so I wouldn't have to use one of mine until they were fully trained, and so that I wouldn't get that mail again that he took the horse back.

In this latest patch, the changelog states that the loyalty bar is now supposed to be active/working, just with no (coming soon) animations; however for me, there is still no way to pet or feed the horses. I figured that I would just rotate and ride one per day until I got the loyalty maxxed on all 3 but I'm not seeing those options. I think perhaps I have misunderstood the patch notes (?)

it's a pain. i dump mine in for training at night, and if i'm not going to need it to run around gifting people i do a second training that day and just don't use it til the next day.

I been training my two horses seem like forever, but they are both 100 percent except the loyality

I just tamed the cotton liama and its already 100% on everything so im not to fussed about taming a horse
