Fruit Salad

Can someone please tell us how to obtain Fruit Salad please? I have multiple people demanding it and it seems like no one in the world seems to know where it comes from. The Wiki tells us what characters want it but has no page to say where it comes from.

Is it cooked? Blended? Bought? Found? Looted? Gifted from friends?

I noticed this line from the new hotfix changelist -"Added fruit salad and veg salad into the menu."
Does this mean that someone asking for this must be taken for a dining date to be fed this item?

before this fix, yes as it was only available during a date. at least as far as i know. as for what it means by added to the menu, i have no idea.

I thought maybe apple, apricot, and sugar would make a fruit salad but so far no deal. Gonna keep trying. I did just discover how to make pumpkin shrimp soup, which is 1 pumpkin, 1 chili pepper, 1 lobster meat

I also tried the following combinations for fruit salad: apple->apricot->snake berry->sugar, apple->apricot->snake berry, apricot->snake berry->sugar, and apple->apricot->snake berry->jujube->cactus fruit->sugar. I don't have honey, nor do I have enough relationship with Isaac (let alone that I suck at his game) to obtain it, so I couldn't try that with fruit.

Has anyone ever found an item called 'salad sauce' anywhere?

I am not sure where I received this item (x4): I believe that it was either one of the chests laying around Portia or my very first blimp present caught at the bright sun festival. I have been meaning to test using the salad sauce with fruit & veg combinations.

I also have not found mustard at all yet.

Yea I forgot about that. I haven't seen it since I found it in that one chest. This may be silly but I was going to try lettuce with apricots and apples and sugar, but maybe lettuce apricots apples and salad sauce. (If anyone can find it and try this hehe)

Hi Stonx, You mean your blenders show that as a recipe? Or that you experimented at the cookset with eggs & sugar and got one?

Hi lilyma1028, I had forgotten about it as well until I just read this thread - and no, your idea doesn't seem silly to me at all :)
Folks in my region put a small amount of sugar in their cole slaw (along with vinegar, cabbage, &c. - I'm not sure if people everywhere do this) - and there are plenty of sweet salad dressings out there!

I'll try this weekend to see, however I don't know if I'll ever loot more salad sauce again - it still would be great to have the recipe(s) added to our books :)

I feel very dense here, but here goes:
Is there some way to even experiment with blender recipes? I thought that you could only make the given recipes that appear on the left column (versus the cookset, where you can "discover" recipes by testing different combinations).

Maybe my blenders are broken if so, because I don't have a salad sauce recipe :/
Or perhaps that's a mission reward recipe, that I may have not gotten that mission?

edited to add: Way to go Satsuki Shizuka! (and thank you for telling us!) Now, if I can only figure out how to get the salad sauce recipe into my blenders :)

What a dolt I am: I haven't logged in yet today and wasn't even aware that there was another patch yet (I saw the downloads working, but just assumed it was The Forest again)
