l gave petra 10 discs to get electic furnce only to find out you need to give her 20 discs now l have to go back to first day l started open branch test and start all over again and re do all the quest again be nice for more info

You need all the 5-10-20 disc upgrades, there's a ton of them. You also get more discs than you could ever use by mining a couple times a week. Not sure why you have to start over for something you still need.

You'll need all of the technologies she unlocks. Start with the ones that cost the fewest discs.

I got it after the second time I turned in data disk. Not sure if it is the luck of the draw or not.

Not a really big deal. Just spend some time doing other stuff. Worse case is you get a reputation hit if you can not complete a job.

I think it depends on what else you have discovered. I was at the point where she gave me research notes so I knew that I had researched everything. When I gave her the 20 discs I received the plans for the Electric Furnace. It seems like it just depends on where you are in the same.

The Abandoned Ruins ("Mines") and the Ingalls Hazardous Ruin ("Dungeon") in the desert.

But really, you should be using fire-powered generators.
