Emperor fire fish ?!
Though it might help peoples trying to complete the musem emperor collection of fishes.

Firefish are found at the fishing spot near the harbor, right behind the dee-dee stop.
Since it was the last fish I missed to complete the collection, I went there fishing....

4 days and 400 worms later I still had no emperor fire fish, got plenty of the regular one, around 60, hundreds of golden salmon and buble fishes, regular and emperor kind, but no emperor fire fish at all.... Had to dig google for some time before I finally found the answer.

The emperor fire fish is at a different place and can only be caught at the collapsed wasteland lake !

I went there and got one in a matter of seconds. Just... I wonder why they put the emperor and regular versions at different places...

Ummm, to get you to explore and try different fishing spots of course.

I personally would like them to add even more diversity to fish locations and even have them change locations at different times of the year, would make it more fun hunting them down like in Stardew.

Well it was very counter intuitive for me.

I mean for all other fishes you find the emperor version by simply fishing at the same place you find the regular version... so it made sense to me that the emperor fire fish would be at the same place, and I had no reasons to try to get one anywhere else.

Actually I could have spent even more time fishing at the same spot to get the emperor fire fish, to no avail.

Not sure about the changing location part (would make no sense to get sea fishes in a lake or lake fish in the sea), but maybe making some the emperor version or certain kind of the fish only appear at certain seasons, days of the week, hour of the day or even weather conditions.

But well since the last updates, I m pretty satisfied with how fishing work now.

It doesnt need to be overly sophisticated, it's mainly a ressource gathering method after all.

You already have sea fish in the rivers, Goliaths in rivers (described as deep sea fish), mackeral as far from the sea as you can get pretty much and on top of that Koi in the sea which are a fresh water fish, so it already makes no sense in that regard.
But I don't think that effects the enjoyment of the game, after all it's not exactly "realistic" in any way when it comes to the creatures, when you have you ever seen a Giant White Lama with Sunglasees on, lol?

Actually what would really improve fishing for me would be less rusty pipe, no racket at all (looks like portia has been build on the location of Wimbeldon), and way more sea weed.

Could also have some sort of sea weed monster (droping a bunch of sea weed) come out of the water when you catch a certain number of fishes at the same spot. Kinda like what happen when you kill a lot of monsters and a boss lama/bird/Vampbat appear.

Creature from the haunted sea anyone ? :P

I think they put those in as a way to easily get the parts for the lara model if you were having difficulty finding them (you can't get the rusty pipe any other way as far as I can tell).
Yeah more sea weed would be good as it's not a bad food item.
That said all fishing mini-games always seem to have some sort of crappy item that sometimes drop.

+1 for seaweed monster

Well the racket is really all over the place.... finding dozen of it in abandonned ruins is enough, we don tneed to find them when fishing too.

For the rusty pipe, I didnt reach the point where you need it in the game yet :o

But if it becomes usefull at some point, would be nice to get some from abandonned ruins too. Lets say half the rackets in AR replaced by rusty pipes...

(need to start filling a chest with rusty pipe now)

No need to start filling chests you are going to need 2. 1 for your yard and 1 to donate to the museum.

Uh ? donate a rusty pipe at the musem ?

There's nothing written in the item description saying it some sort of relic ?

Not the rusty pipe itself but the item you build that needs it. lol

Ah okay... was wondering what was the last small assembled item I missed for the museum... was pesting about the loudseaker being considered a medium assembled item for that (I picked the complicated choice)
deanbarrett1 Jun 12, 2018 @ 2:21pm
I've still only donated about half, and I can't for the life of me figure out how you donate the fish although aparently you can.
Guh~hey~hey~♫ Jun 12, 2018 @ 2:25pm
It's on the second floor, there's an aquarium in the bottom wall.

Just put the fish you wish to donate in your quickbar, equip it and click left mouse button close to the aquarium. You should have an help telling you what button to press when close enough. You can also watch the fishes and also check a list of the collection progress.
