Fitting the thing isn't the issue, it's it taking up way too much space that could be used for industry
What I mean is if the previous lot upgrade was 8000 Gol (hypothetically speaking), and the house upgrade is 10,000, then get the lot upgrade first and if the lot jumped to 25,000 Gol, get that one and then get the house upgrade. So I would at least purchase the "next" lot upgrade that is more expensive than the house upgrade, just to ensure there's enough space.
That being said, it's been a long time since I remember the house upgrades and lot upgrades that I could purchase at that time, but you definitely should have enough space for the house upgrade if you primarily focus on lot upgrades.
I upgraded my lot space (today or yesterday) at the 100,000 Gol price (and it provides lots of space), and I think it definitely can fit the final house and assembly upgrades if I move my items accordingly to fit. And I still have at least one more lot upgrade if not more.
And I still will have plenty of industry workbenches that I can add. Plus whatever adds when I further upgrade my lot.
the 15k actually tripled the lot size... mostly back away from the road. Looks like the 30k is going to expand it along the road (toward the river)
Also, the new level 3 assembler is even bigger, and lets you auto-build from inventory instead of having to hold and place items. That's a worthy feature.
