Apple trees for large planters please
Please add apple trees to be obtainable items for the large planter. It would be quite nice since now you need tons of stamina for the gun to operate to get apples more reliably.

I'd settle for just being able to press and hold the E key.

All that kicking is wearing out my keyboard.

Wouldn't mind some seasonal and different types of trees though.

Cheers..!

what's the advantage of apples? why not just use apricot trees?
That's what I do.

Because using Apples in the drying stand gives a better % stamina food.

not when you're making fruit salad.

And I like Apples.

Apricots, not so much.

Cheers..!

No time to be making Salad Dressing and paying for ingredients...

I only make that stuff for missions and gifts.

Got things to do...

Cheers..!

That doesn't make any sense, you'd still have to wait for the apples to dry on the drying rack.

Salad sauce you just make in a blender 25 at a time, then you have Ack make the fuits salads all at once.
It's way faster than kicking trees...

Fruit salad 1% stamina regen for 15 seconds. Takes 2 fruit and 1 Salad sauce.

Dried apple slice instant 10% max stamina. Takes 2 Apples in the drying rack 20 hours.

Those are arguably good, but the real loser is the Dried Apricot.

Dried Apricot 24 stamina takes 2 Apricots 1 sugar.

Apples dry while I do other things. It's not like I'm waiting for them. They cost me nothing. (time aside) By the time I use up a batch, another is ready.

Salad isn't just whip it up, you have to have the ingredients, which you have to buy minus a couple bird eggs from nests while you're tree chopping for necessities other than wood.(edit, for the mayo)

That means a trip to the store more often than I like to go and buying stuff I don't want to have to buy. Half the secret to making money is not spending it, especially when free (ish) alternatives are available.

Ack is a big plus once he arrives, before then though it's not instant cooking anything. (In point of fact, Ack is OP as the hotplace...not that I mind) Making Salads in the cooker is a lot of wasted time.

Dried Apples give one of the bigest bangs for the buck. I kick trees when out doing other things near them and end up with plenty of dried stuff to go around. It makes a great boost for the effort involved in making it.

Dried Apricots take 2..? I thought 1, but in any event not an issue. I have 5 Apricot trees and they make more than I'll ever use. I mean they're basically free past the first couple of harvests.

If I'm going to have to buy sugar for something, here is where I use it. It's one of the few staples I actually buy, but only when the market is way down. That 24 Stamina from dried Apricots is nothing to laugh at for something that basically costs you a sugar and gets made while you go do something more productive.

End of the day I think all of this comes out in the wash at any rate.

YMMV of course.

Cheers..!

Earlygame I prefer to sleep instead of using dried apples but that's mostly a personal preference because of how tedious kicking trees is.

Dried apples are good in the early game before you get Ack, but in the lategame fruit salad is way better. I only ever craft fruit salad 100 at a time which is why it becomes so time efficient in comparison to dried apples.

apple tree sapling!
yes please

Yeah kicking trees is tedious. Made a macro to do it (razer mouse and keyboard).
Definitely needs to be changed so it work by just keeping E pressed.

Would be nice to be able to grow our own apples trees too.
And what about being able to cut down apple trees so you get the wood and all the apples at the same time ?

Speaking of which.... where are lemon trees ? Not in game yet or did I miss them ?
