Industrial cutter lvl 2

Hi everyone,

I need some steel plate for a quest and the water engine and so i need to upgrade to lvl 2 on my industrial cutter but idk, where can i upgrade it? Cuz i went a couple of times on the A&G construction catalog and... there's nothing, which seems normal since the Industrial cutter was something i crafted.

Can you guys help me?

It's a seperate build item. You have to get the blueprint (random) from Petra. Just keep giving her data discs and it will eventually come through. The only things you can upgrade through A and G are Home, Workbench, Assembly platform and Fence. All else must be built and the better items built from scratch (though some use earlier stuff as componants).

You can pick up your current machines by using the axe on them twice.

Okay thanks for answering so quickly. Is there more chance for me to get the lvl 2 one if i give the maximum data discs possible? (i think it's 20) Since it's something kinda important...

Each set of discs 5, 10, 20 has a specific rank of item it will give you. For the Lvl 2 cutter you will need to give Petra 10 discs and wait 5 days for the blue prints.

Also it may not be the first thing you get for 10 discs. However giving her 20 discs will never get you the Lvl 2 cutter as it does not fall under this ranking.

Eventually Petra will have researched all the 5 disc items, so you can move on to 10 disc items when she stops asking for 5. I think its generally a good idea to do them in order, all 5's, then all 10's and finally all 20's. The order she unlocks your blueprints seems a bit random. It's very handy to get the blender item because it makes herbal teas which make ointments, a pretty good healing item. And blender is a 5 disc recipe.
