[Suggestion] About Ginger
I can appreciate that she prefers time spent with her rather than gifts, and having her approval points for gifts reflect that. HOWEVER she says "I'd rather you take a walk with me" or "I'd love a visit just as much" and those aren't options. Might I suggest keep her approval for material things as is, but ADD the option to take a walk, or visit and give points equal to a 'loved' gift.

I think that's a cute idea, but I think to be fair that option would have to be for everyone... just that Ginger would appreciate it more.

Not really unfair considering if I give a loved gift to say arlo it's +10. If I give Ginger a loved gift it's only +2. If anything it would bring a way to balance her friendship earnings with the others. What's unfair is the way she is set up now.

It would be unfair since that would actually be a fun thing to do... whereas finding and giving loved gifts isn't really fun. If anything it's a bit of a chore. I find it super cute to go on walks and hang out with characters... (I mean I guess you kind of already do on dates) I do agree it's unfair right now though. I think it could also be more fair if she just gets more affection from dates than others... unless she already does, not trying to date her personally.

I don't want to date her either, my builder married arlo, but I am trying to get her friendship up. She gives a crafting recipe at one point. And she doesn't get the play option like the others either I've read, so they need to do something to make her equal to the rest.

She does get the play option at 2 hearts. I did a play date with her the other day.

I feel like she’s fine the way she is now. I thought it was really unique that it was harder to get relationship points with her. I’d love for more characters to have unique quirks like this, people liking gifts more than others, people liking play dates more, etc.
I think the thing with Ginger is that it’s a big kick in the bum for players that feel they need to befriend her as she gives the unique recipe.

P.S - You can progress with her really quickly by play dating at the associate level with the social skill later on in the game.

You can also increase your progress a bit by playing rock-paper-scissors with her three times a day, potentially more than you could get from giving her gifts.

It might be cool if she got a point boost from consecutive visits. So the first day you talk to her its only +1 but if you talk to her five days in a row she gets +2 for chatting and so on until it maxes out at say +5. It might be cool to apply this to the other npcs as well. It's a reverse idea to the classic degrading of a relationship if you don't visit that the devs got rid of. Instead of punishing players for not talking to npcs consistently it rewards them for it. And the bonus would degrade slowly so if you were at +5 and you miss a day it would go to +4 and not +1 right away.
