Abandoned ruins #2 cant get in

im trying to acces the abandoned ruins 2. it comes up with the E to enter but does nothing, i can interact with the elevator but thats it. i need iron ore and cant progress further. do i need a licence or do something for it to let me in?

Are you sure you're in the right spot? Abandonded Mine#2 is near Dr. Xu's office/the Civil Corp. HQ.

If it's the elevator far east of town, that leads to the the Rat King dungeon.

I had that the first time i tried to gwt inside too. Then within a few days it auto solved itself.

jumped around 6 days so far. verified game files still no luck

I think it lets you in based on your progress not based on how long you've been there, so simply jumping forward in days won't help. it didn't let me in at first but later after I was a few levels higher, had a higher workshop rank, and had a more advanced workshop bench I could so... *shrug* something about my progress triggered it to let me in but I can't tell you exactly what.

I heard someone mention something about completing the bridge to Amber Island let them in the second abandoned mine. I could be wrong though

I'm also looking for the solution for this and also read somewhere that it has something to do with building the bridge first, i'm just about to complete the bridge so i will post update.

Edit - Yep, can confirm - Finished the Amber Island bridge quest and then slept a day - you're prompted with a cutscene (wont spoil details) and are now allowed into the Abandoned Ruins #2

I've completed the amber bridge and currently trying to repair the lift. Hence the need for iron. I'm level 18 also. Thanks for the replys

According to the wikia:
The Abandoned Ruins #2 is located behind the Civil Corps building at the top of the hill of Portia. The ruins is inside the large building in a dilapidated state. (They become available a day after completing the bridge mission)

So I guess this was the case all along

no i done the bridge mission ages ago. like i said. i was making the lift up the waterfall which is way past that. i couldnt progress so quiet playing. update come out. tried again and it worked. That was the case all along

i cant get in period ethier no buttons nothing except i can go up to it , press e , it says noone is allowed in at ll : / i have all the quests i can get , i cant progres at all unless i get in the mines :(

Abandoned Ruins #2 should unlock after you complete the Bridge to Amber Island quest.
