Demo in Steam Search?
When I search on the steam for "My Time At Portia" on steam store page I get two options. The main game and one labeled as Demo. But both take you to the normal store page. Is there actually a demo for the game or is this some kind of error in the search?

I know the game is early access but that doesn't mean they couldn't have a demo. As I've seen other Early Access games with demos, such as StarMade.

on the my time in portia store page , there should be a demo button somewhere on the right.

and to buy its in the normal place

I second the OP - game is showing in the store search as having a demo, but there's no button for downloading a demo anywhere on the store page.

Looks like the demo has been removed not sure if this was a mistake or intentional.

The demo was temporarily removed. The one they had was a really old build that missing a huge amount of features and was badly optimized. The devs want to give a more accurate build. IIRC, there should be a new demo in a week or two.

If I remember correctly the devs said that there is going to be an updated version of the demo in the next few days and that they removed the old version.

Good to know. I really liked stardew and when i saw this come up on Stardew LP channel I figured I'd give it a look.

It's been over a month now since this thread was made. Still no sign of the demo. Has there been any official news about this yet?

Just that they are working on getting a updated demo ready. No dates or anything.

I checked today and there is a blue "Download Demo" button on the right side of the store page.

Thank you for the update!
Edit: For some reason nothing happens when I click the "Download Demo" button.
Double edit: Restarting the steam client solved the "no download" issue. Great fun :D

As of this date (December 2019): I click on the [Download Demo] button on the right side of the page and...
A window pops up asking "Got Steam?"
I click on "Yes, Steam is installed (Download Demo)" and...
Another window pops up with the title "Launch Application"...
With the default "Steam Client Bootstrapper" selected, I click [Open Link] and...

The "Launch Application" window disappears, but absolutely nothing else happens, no matter how long I wait for something to happen.

I open "Library" in my Steam client, but there are no new games or apps available, certainly nothing titled "My Time At Portia Demo" or anything with "demo" in the name.

I even completely closed down my Steam client and restarted it. However, even that did not solve the "no download" issue for me.

Is it because I already own the full version of "My Time At Portia"? Are the Full Version and Demo mutually exclusive? If so, that's a design flaw. I had played the demo previously. And I wanted to reinstall the demo just so I could load up my old save to see all I had and how I had arranged stuff. (Sadly, I read that the Full game will not work with a save from the demo.)

Are others also having a problem getting the demo? Did Pathea take it down and keep it down this time?
