Turning in Jobs

I tried to turn in a job not a commission to the person who requested it and there was no prompt. I had the item highlighted in my hot bar, still no prompt. I used the gifting option and he took it without paying for it , the job is still in my mission list with 5 days left to complete.

I had a commission I had to turn into the guild once. Look at the map and see if you can find the turn in person highlighted and mouse over them. May be a bug, may need to turn in somewhere else.

win a commission is being track be nice to show a marker to show were the person is at so you daont have to rtack them down

There should be a marker to indicate where a job hand in is.

I have the same issue. I crafted a Beginners Fishing Rod, went to the quest giver (I forget which of the brothers it was) and chatted to him - he said ‘have you got my fishing rod’, gifted it to him and still have the quest outstanding. It was definitely the correct recipient for the job. It’s happened twice so I suspect I’m not ‘giving’ him the item correctly?

Yes, it was the fishing rod job. I tried to turn it in to him every day until it expired. The other jobs turn in just fine as do the commissions.

I had no problem doing the fishing rod quest with Qiwa.

This quest is broken in the full game I just bought, probably works in the demo though.

Fishing Rod in my Inventory and this is what I get ALWAYS:

Find the quest giver.... (NOTE: my quest log on the right side of the screen showing I have 1/1 fishing rod).

I'm on the fence about requesting a refund. I just don't see how I progress in the game. I'm dependant on these side quests to make the coin I need to enter the ruins. Refund?

I haven't had any problems finishing this quest in either versions (demo or EA release). Restarted a few times these past few days and each time its been ok.

Have you tried putting the fishing rod into a storage chest, closing it, and then getting back into the chest to retrieve it. Also try with it in your inventory and on your toolbar/quickslot bar.

I usually craft 2 rods at the same time (one for me) and it takes the one of the toolbar before inventory.

Remo this game just hit early access 3 days or so ago. It's probably going to have a lot of broken quests, erased progress, corrupt save files, another world wide apocalypse etc. One broken quest is minor so I guess you have to ask yourself if you are ok with having to start again and again because of glitches, bugs, adding features, changing features or even removing some.

Personally I think this is off to a great start I have had little to no problems and the performance has been top notch.

Hmm weird mine worked but i made two fishing rods one for the quest and one for myself..

I have 130 plus hours in this game. I've never had a problem with this quest in ANY version of the game. That includes the Early Access.

I have this same problem. When making the rod first time I made 2 (one for myself, one for the quest), he didn1't get it, tried gifting, nope, tried restarting the game, nothing, tried putting it on a chest and retrieving it, nothing, made steam check my files, nothing, crafted 5 more fishing rods, nothing...
Also, one time I went to try to deliver the fishing rod Qwia was FISHING with a DAMN ROD...
I'll just let it expire, but this is kinda of frustating on the experience to the game =/

I just want to pile on here - I have tried all of the suggested workarounds. The latest update FINALLY allowed me to turn in a data disk though, so we are getting closer at least.

Did you try having the rod on your hotbar, and selected when you speak with him?
