Boring commerce missions in endgame
So... Today I was asked to either create a Wicker Basket, a Wooden Pillar or a Leather Belt. Like I was for the past week.

It seems the S and Ss missions are always the same thing, it RNG on about ten items which is really boring...

What do you think?

I stop doing daily commissions early .... so I'm not bored *shrugs* And I keep my ranking with once weekly commissions so .... I think it's fine.

they could publish more missions of extermination of normal or special enemies that are either on the map or in the ruins to give more flavor to the game :B

A bit out of subject.

Commerce missions are a good way to make money.
I don't see why they would be limited to certain items only.
They could put items in categories and do a RNG on them.

Agree with OP, I'm not at endgame (I keep making new saves and starting over) but the variety of S commissions is boring - it literally is pretty much those 3 things. How many wooden pillars do the people of Portia need?!

Wooden pillars being one of the worse, because, as far as I'm aware, there's no way to get poplar wood except going for it manually (which is a bit tedious, even endgame)

That would be a job for the Civil Corps, not the Commerce Guild.

They keep asking me along on all these special missions that involve baddies and you and I both know who's carrying the squads in those situations...

And then there's the quests for spots for you to clear out alone....

So I'd have to say negative...

A few extra "go clear out xyz place" because there's been an infestation or incursion would be 100% in line with the story events in addition to being a nice change of pace from making baskets and leather accessories.

YMMV...

Cheers..!

Then again, it would not be a "commerce" activity which was the topic in the first place. Never had much invitation to go fight, but since you have the possibility to do those commerce mission, at least make those a bit mot diverse...

Sure it could. "Goods and Services". I'm building bridge parts, water tanks for outside towns, no reason I couldn't get a board contract to handle a small issue somewhere.

Totally see getting these via other means, but in my mind having the mayor or the pigs coming to me for every little thing would be unwieldy to program, be an unnecessary burden on the player (chasing them down) and take away from the main story missions where all these NPCs do exactly that. (we'd just have another type of SSDD to complain about)

Also agree it really wouldn't be that hard to have the item randomizer allow us to get different items for the commissions instead of just baskets and belts... So ya, that should really be a thing.

Cheers..!
