Is it possible to get all relics through mining?
I'm searching in the ruins #1 for sunny side part 2 since many ingame weeks now. It's the last relic I'm missing from the ruins #1. Somewhere I read that every playthroug has his own rare parts so my question is: is it possible to get all parts through mining in the ruins? Because I know there is an exchange in the museum but the part I'm missing never comes up there.
What is better: to reset the ruins? Or to clear them? To find the last missing part.

Technically it is possible to complete all artifacts by mining, it will just take really long for some parts. I suggest digging through all the corners at least - that is where I have observed most parts getting generated - and with the 2nd scanner-upgrade and the drill, clearing out every item should go "relatively" fast (3-4 days). So I usually don't bother with resetting the mine before I got everything.

It is possible to get a complete sunny side from a chest somewhere (I think it was Ingall's mine mission. And a chest only reachable by balancing and jumping over some cables in the final boss room.)

Thank you! I'll wait for the story to continue, then. To get the scanner upgrade.

Yes I read about the chest in Ingall's mine - unfortunately too late, I can't get in there again, it seems.

And it's not only the sunny side, I'm missing parts from ruins #2 and so on too, so it's good to know you can get them all through digging.

x_x I am still missing some parts for the goddess statue from 2nd mine - somehow in all my games that thing never gets finished. Well if you got really tons of money left over, you can buy the surprise bags from the mystery merchant and see whether any useful parts will be inside - though those things mostly contain trash.

There are two relic scanner upgrades. The first is pretty early on -- I think it's after the Rat King in WoW industries. It lets you keep scans for 3 relics/parts and shows the shape of the object. The second upgrade is after upgrading the harbour. It allows you to scan 5 objects + gives you the shape & name of the item. Suffice to say, it makes finding relics much much much easier.

Also: consider holding on to a regular pickaxe when relic hunting. You can use the old pick axe to save some stamina when moving through stone/soil. You'll get less materials, but these are the things you probably don't want anyhow. Okay maybe stone. It lets you conserve some stamina.

I know, I already have the first upgrade. Now waiting for the second one :-)

Lol, I had the exact same idea with the regular pickaxe some days ago XD Good to see I'm not alone ^^

Thank you!

Usually yes, but there are also villagers who exchange relics, maybe you can find them.
another thing tries to get the second update of the glasses and the drill that will be quite fast.

I'm exact same as OP here. I found Sunny Side #1 during like my first mining mission ever, now I've mined every day for 2 weeks and can't find the 2nd piece. If I can't find it, I want to know. =[

There's seems to be at least one random piece per game that's just nearly impossible to find.

It may be a sign the devs are secretly EVIL.

Will you find it if you clear the ruins?

you can get some from the mysterious man, buy him those red bags with an interrogation mark drawn on them, they give a random relic piece when you open them.

Yes but that is just too rng for me. I never have luck with such things.

uh.... digging to find relic IS already rng, so what the difference ? Apart that it cost money when buying from the MM, at least it cost no time...
