I haven't play the beginning in a long time, and she want her picture taken - I've take dozen of pictures and it keep saying she wants a photo.

Try using the Z key to open your camera and then move the camera around until it outlines her with a green checkmark and taking that photo? The camera controls are really confusing. There's a few different camera modes and not all of them work for the quests, and the green checkmark mechanic can be really finicky.

There are missions that ask for pictures which you use the "Z" button to take out the free camera. In those cases if you need a photo of something special, you must locate the camera in such a way that it highlights the mission object and then take the photo.
