You can play all you want. If you having done all the achievement,friendship, all the fish, finish the museum, everything that you can possibly finish completely you can do it now.

Yes, there is an ending... However, as @Eterna mentioned, work on finishing your achievements initially. I have 2 characters now, and will open a third shortly. I can't see closing any of them permanently or deleting either of them ~~ they are both so different. I can give you a hint when the end is near? I sent you a friend request ~~ we can chat ~~ if you wish. By the way ~~ be prepared to fall in LOVE with the game! In my very very very humble opinion ~~ it's the most beautiful game in the whole world; I wish they would work on changing the repeat comments or hurry up with another game very much like it. I mean. Please, please hurry up. I'm dying a slow death here... the waiting is killing me; However, as you all know; I'm totally completely infatuated with the game; I will forever play it; Forever & a day. I love it; I love it! Did I say I love it?! off-topic, baffling babushka

You might want to take a break and go play something else so you don't get burned out on it, I'm playing a different game right now but I plan on doing a second play through on Portia and then it will be a new experience with a new strategy instead of playing back to back.

@mskittynips you are correct! I am fried in love with Portia ~~ I did look around for other games; The games I like are not compatible with my current PC; However, I do plan on getting a better PC soon; Although, this one is a new one; It does not have the "graphic strength" I think it's called ~~ for some of the "other" games I'd like to try & play. So I wait & wait & wait... to me... nothing is comparable to Portia... nothing... I'm a sorry cookie... a sugar cookie... an extra large sugar cookie...

Yeah.

Quit playing long enough so you start forgetting what happen and how to do things, then get back to it and everything feel fresh and new.
This is what I am doing now, playing other games. Because I am going to play Portia again yup.

The main storyline does have an ending, with proper ending credits and everything. But the game is far from finished after that since I don't think I've ever seen anyone get absolutely everything before finishing the storyline on their first runthrough. It took me about three in-game years to finish the main storyline on my first Builder. She is now in Year 6 with over 200 hours played on her alone, and the only reason I haven't continued is because I'm trying to perfect my "early game" gameplay and figure out good "breathing points" in the main storyline since my ultimate goal is to eventually romance every single bachelor and bachelorette. So.. I have a very long, bright future with "My Time at Portia" ahead. :)

@milkygirl bravo!

I'm not tired of the game; Just the repeat lines; There is a million x million x million things an npc can say ~~ to repeat lines is just ridiculous & unnecessary ~~ language is infinite... just like music...

@babushkastarababa Thanks! I know I'm usually pretty quiet, but I do love this game so much, and your enthusiasm always makes me smile! In fact, I love how friendly all the regulars are here.

I even have a notebook full of names and personalities, and it's fun figuring out who will likely be with who!

I have heard there are a lot of repeat lines as relationships go on, and I think that's a shame. Just researching the characters, they have such distinct personalities, even each of the Hulu Brothers. It's sad that apparently they all don't get original dialogue. But I try and keep in mind, Pathea bit off quite a bit to chew, and I've seen major gaming companies do worse.

And as you've seen, I do play other games, but that's usually only when I've been playing far too much "My Time at Portia".. if there is such a thing!
I feel like Portia is like a wine the more we drink the best it taste LOL

I have 1440 hours yup, I know others have more time then me, but I just have like almost three months with this game. I have like 7 files already and going for more. This game really has something special and very charming.

*big big hugs* @milkygirl! I hear you! I adore the game & I'm infatuated with it. Does it need improvement? Of course. However, they did an incredible job in such a short time. I also see the changes they have made. As a customer, I guess I can't help but wish things to be at their optimum. I have no issue purchasing the game at full price, and with that should come the quality a customer expects. It doesn't mean I don't like the game ~~ actually the opposite ~~ that is why I want it to be the best Portia it can be. Will I stop playing the game~~ heck no ~~ never. However, I feel I have the right to voice my opinions ~~ good or bad. Portia will forever be in my heart, and I will always have an opinion on what I feel needs improvement. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate the dev's and all they have done. The game is beyond magnificent & gorgeous. When I play, I loose myself in the beauty that is Portia. I just want to believe the fantasy of Portia & when comments are repeated incessantly. My mind takes me out of glorious Portia into the reality of, "oh, it's just a game." I want it to be more than, "just a game." I love a good fantasy. I want Portia to be the best at what they do. I want to "believe in Portia!" I eagerly await to see what will come next. ~a mega huge forever fan
p.s. After I have played Portia ~~ there just isn't any other game I am interested in playing ~~ how can I? Everything else feels flat! Portia has spoiled me anything else!

Ah yes, other friends have told me about those games; They can get very violent etc. I can definitely understand the much needed break.
