It’s not a big deal, though - most skills are kinda crap.
That's bad advice. Gather skills are used the most, followed by Social, then Fighting. You can complete the whole game easily without any fighting skills.
And this is from someone who doesn't care about the social aspect of the game and prefers fighting.
The FIRST fight skills, especially the experience bonus ones, make leveling a lot easier.
Focus on grinding out those levels, then get acupuncture or whatever to get those 5 points you sunk into xp boosting back.
I remember saying clearly that use the skills work better for this player. Level up it is not that easy, and fighting skills helps. However I respect your opinion that I give a bad advice.
I started with teh middle section (gather stuff) and have now done the fight skills. Yet to place anything in the social side.
If it is possible to get them all then it will take utter ages because you have to level up
It's not bad advice especially for early in the game when you need the fighting skills the most and the skills can always be reset if the player wants to do a lot of gathering or mining.
I always fill out the Gathering tree first because that's what I spend 90% of my time doing from beginning of the game to the end. In fact, just took a character into the first Hazardous Ruins for the first time at level 54 (built the Azure Island Bridge, but haven't installed the Battery yet). So I go up the Fighting tree second.
I usually don't fight a single thing unless I absolutely have to (mostly required main quests and since I'm forced to clear things once myself for the Civil Corps to do the rest for me). But for those who want to fight things ASAP, the Fighting tree is there.
I barely touch the Social tab since I haven't really dabbled in it that much beyond getting more for commissions and sales to merchants. I'd rather have things more important to me, personally.
