Master Fishing Rod!!!. . .???. . .

So My current file I am trying to do a lot of stuff that I never did in other files. One of those is to get and donate all the King fish. I thought hey, master fishing rod better chance at King fish, right? Not so much for me. Has anybody caught or for that matter got a nibble from a King fish of any of the varieties using the master fishing rod? Cause I am getting ready to go for the last king fish and I've used the Master Rod in every fishing spot trying to get any king fish and not even a nibble. I have always had to resort to the Classic. Do I just have bad luck or am I missing something?

I have, if anything they appeared way more often, in 10 worms I got 7 king fish. I rarely fish but I have seen an increase in them appearing specially when used at the fishing contest.

When I used it at the competition I still got no hits from king fish. It really surprised me because my first year I had to keep restarting the day over so I could win some of the competitions and it seemed with the basic rod king fish were all they wanted to give me. (which would take too long to catch and I would loose because my line would break)

Yeah my luck is really bad. Oh well, the last king fish I have to get I have already tried all fishing spots with the master rod multiple times and never had a nibble from a king so I will stick with the classic and it will happen eventually.

I got the master fishing rod the day before the two day Fishing Day tournament. I got 8 king fish with the master fishing rod, so I'm not complaining :)

Theres a general increase in emperor and king fish in the tournament. I dont think the rod matters. I just finished collecting all the king fish and did most of it with the master rod. I think it just comes down to the king fish having a smaller chance of biting. The king gladiator took me several days worth of fishing and a few hundred bait to catch. Other kings I have extras. Keep trying! You'll get then eventually with a little patience.

Yeah I got my last one but never any with the Master Rod. I am unlucky I guess.

Your best bet to get kings/emperors for the final rod is in the fishing tournament because they will spawn way, waaaaaay more frequently. Just save and reload if you didn't get what you want. 2 days of fishing tournament filled up all my quota.
