I don't know how it works currently, with the new updates... I'm on my third character, Mae, and I still use the least amount. If someone else knows different. Please enlighten us please.
solution give all the options.
Basic plans for 5 discs will give you the starting kit so to say - mixer, cooking set and fish tank as well as the civil furnace so you can start processing iron ore as well.
You need iron and carbon steel bars to build most of the machines from the advanced group which are the blueprints you receive for 10 data discs.
Most important thing you get in this group are the industrial cutter and the industrial furnace.
Last but not least there is the profi-builder blueprints for 20 datadiscs, to build most of these you need industrial furnaces as an assembly station component.
So it really makes most sense to start with the basic plans and work up, else you simply can't built most of the stuff.
However when Petra asks for 'extra discs' this only means she will be able to work on the new blueprint faster. Instead of having to wait an entire week you can get a blueprint already after 3 days for example.
Yep, just got to that point. No more 10 data disc options. Thanks!
1) Certain missions will always want something from the research center, so always reserve 10 disks for surprises.
2) You use disks for special agriculture items from the church, do prioritize enough disks for that. Those are mostly a one time investment purchase for planters and tree seeds, so once bought, you don't need further disks. You can buy the pigments and cotton stuff, but I prefer to invest early and grow my own :)
3) If you see yourself carrying around more than 30-40 disks, then you should be spending the extra disks to speed the research. But if your scrambling to mine more disks then you need to rethink your spending habits.
PETRA SHOULD ALWAYS BE RESEARCHING SOMETHING FOR YOU. The more you can get from her faster the better your shop will be. But there is no point in being better than your gols/materials supply can support.
Invest in a few planter boxes and crystella tree saplings from the church store whenever you have some datadiscs extra.
Having 5 to 10 Crystella trees will become important later. (Having a few apple trees is also very nice later.)
that's good to know, Ive been playing it fairly slow I think, im in season 3 and just now am getting to the heal the tree farm quest. i'll make sure to get some more trees from the Church.
