Storage boxes.
Is it wise to have to many storage boxes? As I have a lot of them, I’m more of a collector for the ‘just in case’ things are needed, but I’m tending to have got a lot more than expected. Roughly 35 boxes and all full up atm.
Is it best to keep everything or shall one sell the items, like random items such as a wrench, metal jars, and so on? Or will they ALL be needed at some point.

Thanks for ya help

I don't think you need that many. You can build some furnitures and sell them for a higher price. If you are going to sell is better wait until the price is more then 100%.

Still good to have some resources handy, but maybe try to upgrade to better boxes that can hold more items.
The only materials you should really sell most of are 'sand' and 'soil' since there is not that many recepies for them and any but one of the 'Meidi hats' you can randomly find - because those wont stack.

Else just sort everything in the crates by type and name the crates so you can find the items faster.

Once you get the factory you'll likely store any materials in the factory warehouse anyway.

You get the diagram for the biggest box from the museum, just keep donating them stuff and check what reward you unlock at the counter. It's worth 2 full pages of storage space

@Gu~heh~heh I can just drop off all the relic pieces I have at the museum? Even if they are not complete? That would be wonderful. I have about 3 metal storage bins for relics. I haven't made the time to look at them & see if they match up. That would truly be wonderful. I would wiki the item(s) and see if there is a use for it ~~ which I need to do for myself. Great point to bring up @Suficer. ~baffling babushka

No ! You cant do that ! :o
Though there's a board with offers to exchange relics parts with other townies....

Once you donate enough items to the museum you get your own recovery machine which you can place at your workshop and it will see items in your storage so you won't have to carry all the pieces just to see if they will recover.

@Celebane I didn't know that! Also, didn't realize there was a "board" to exchange relic pieces with other town members ~~ like way cool.

If you're wondering what items you might need for missions, you can always open the wiki and see the required materials for your next missions. But roughly, the most important materials and crafts to store in bulk are:
- Iron / Carbon Steel (I even have 20k of Iron and Tin Ores at some point)
- Alu Plates
- Crystals, Sapphires
- Tempering Liquid & Lubricants

For normal commissions, besides the ones I already listed, I suggest you save up:
- All Skiver materials to craft A-S commissions
- Wooden materials to craft A-S furniture commissions

Don't ever sell rough materials all by themselves, except for sand and maybe soil. If you turn them into something, they will be much more valuable. Turn stones into Stone Stools or Stone Tables, for example, or make Racks and Traps (late-game). You'll earn millions in just 1-2 years selling crafts like these.

This is very good! I just want to add one more thing. Just be sure that the information you are getting from the wiki is correct. Since they are some information that aren't accurate and since the game is still in updates works, things can change.

Thanks for the tips, I do convert some materials for other items and sell off. It’s more of the other items that seem to be packing up aswell, not just the materials but the other items that seem irrelevant for the majority of the time. For example a wrench, bandage or a rogues headband, a racket (I have 39 of them atm lol) rust py iron pipes, flower scooper and so on.

Flower scoopers are great presents for Dr Xu. Bandages you can use to make first aid items with later. Most of the rackets and rusty iron pipes are useless but keep a few, there actually is a plot quest item that needs both for crafting.

The white llama's sun glasses are worth a nice price ~~ especially when the market is high; Although I keep a pair for me. I'm shocked the good teacher, Lucy, likes the small or it's actually loves the small dagger. Is she Portia's serial killer in the works? The good doctor, Xu, definitely loves the flower scooper. Toby's likes the rogue's headband. And. Last. But. Never. Least. Paulie likes the eye patch. You all are the bestest!
