The only materials you should really sell most of are 'sand' and 'soil' since there is not that many recepies for them and any but one of the 'Meidi hats' you can randomly find - because those wont stack.
Else just sort everything in the crates by type and name the crates so you can find the items faster.
Once you get the factory you'll likely store any materials in the factory warehouse anyway.
Though there's a board with offers to exchange relics parts with other townies....
If you're wondering what items you might need for missions, you can always open the wiki and see the required materials for your next missions. But roughly, the most important materials and crafts to store in bulk are:
- Iron / Carbon Steel (I even have 20k of Iron and Tin Ores at some point)
- Alu Plates
- Crystals, Sapphires
- Tempering Liquid & Lubricants
For normal commissions, besides the ones I already listed, I suggest you save up:
- All Skiver materials to craft A-S commissions
- Wooden materials to craft A-S furniture commissions
Don't ever sell rough materials all by themselves, except for sand and maybe soil. If you turn them into something, they will be much more valuable. Turn stones into Stone Stools or Stone Tables, for example, or make Racks and Traps (late-game). You'll earn millions in just 1-2 years selling crafts like these.
This is very good! I just want to add one more thing. Just be sure that the information you are getting from the wiki is correct. Since they are some information that aren't accurate and since the game is still in updates works, things can change.
