problem with civil furnace

Just started a new character and got the Civ furnace. I have all the components, but it doesn't recognize the 3 marble planks. Also strange, the stone stools go into the middle of the furnace instead of on the side (?)

I restarted the day, but with the same problem. Any ideas?

Try to verify integrity of the game. Right click on game name, properties, Local file, Verify Integrity. Sometimes this can help.

Did the verification - appears all the files are in place. Re-entered the game and still can't complete the civ furnace :(

Try to load the day again, start that day fresh. See if that help. If you continue to experience this problem please send the file error to

C:\User\your name\AppData\LocalLow\Pathea Games\My Time at Portia

:) You're so nice. I did restart the day; retrieved the build, but had the same thing happen. That's when I posted.

Tried to attach the 'My time at portia' file to the hotmail message, but it wouldn't take it. That's a big file.

What files are needed from there?

Ok, if you sent it to them already, just wait.

Do you try to go back a few days before you build the civil furnice? You maybe need to do something all over again but perhaps that problem don't happen. Oh! You can also try backup your game.

Make sure you're actually holding the marble planks and that they are indeed marble planks and not just plain marble as they do look a bit alike. If memory serves, the stone stools go in the middle of the tank at the bottom. The marble planks make the bin on the right side and the bronze planks make up the large tank itself.

Yep, I definitely had the 3 marble planks in my speed bar, and highlighted. :(

Hmm... the only other thing I can think of is to go to the Handbook on the Assembly Station and choose Retrieve. This will remove the blueprint from the platform and return all of the placed resources to your inventory. Then re-try building the civil furnace again. If that doesn't work then maybe upload a screenshot of what you're trying to do that the game won't let you and maybe we can spot the issue.

I just feel bad that all this make you start a new game. I don't like to see people struggle, hopefully you find a solution.

Are all the items on the "build this" list check marked? So, you indeed have all the necessary items? If so, definitely a buggy boo... :o(
