Carbon Fiber
I guess I shall be in the Somber Marsh Abandoned Ruins for the rest of my life ~~ looking for carbon fiber for the airplane project. If you don't hear from me. Send for the Civil Corps ~~ I'm either lost or dead. Is there another way to obtain it? ~~ I know there was a fighting location somewhere. Would appreciate any suggestions, gratefully, humbly, ~baffling babushka

Send the civil corps to do ingal mines for you. Check on the board, there's a mission that give carbon fiber.
Strange. Myself I had plenty of carbon fiber from ingal mines, what gave me trouble was crystals in that mission, crystals to make titanium plates.
But then my 8 crystal trees that I planted some weeks before went ready to harvest and my problem got solved the day after. :3

2-3 Carbon Fiber is also one of the options for clearing a floor of Deepest Ruin with an S rank (others include Sapphire, Advanced Composite Board, and Condensed Power Source). Deepest Ruin (the fighting location) is the other big building on the island with the Somber Marsh Abandoned Ruin. From the Dee Dee Stop, go straight instead of turning left.

It's not guaranteed, but it's another option if you are powerful enough.
I have found carbon fiber in Ingall's Mines. You need to defect the boss at the end of the floors, it is how I get it and usually only 2.

I paid the Civil Corps a lot to go gather for me. By the time the mission came up, I had plenty.

The civil corps dudes & gal don't offer it on their board for me ~~ what IS up with that?! I'm dying a slow death here my friends. I will try the ruin on Somber Marsh ~~ didn't think of it. The Ingal Mine ~~ so far ~~ no bananas! I feel like I am doing the same floor over & over. Even though I rush there ~~ first thing in the morning. I just cannot manage to finish. Am I starting from the beginning each time? I do kill everything ~~ I mean everything ~~ my character is strong enough. Sooo... what the heck am I doing wrong. Anyway... not only send the civil corps to find my dead body, but also the good doctor & the voluptuous conceited scandalously dressed nurse. Oh & the muscle man, Paulie to lift me; It's a long way to carry a dead body. ~seriously in trouble, babbling babushka ps Thank you so much ~~ @mskittynips @jappywocks @YikkiaMoishi @milkygirl @Sakamoto ~~ you all are life savers. Do you know resuscitation? Hopefully one of the corps people do ~~ definitely the doc/ nurse. Though they may never show up ~~ I've have never seen them too far from town. Reminder: I'm dying a slow death.

Check back now and again on the Civil corps board, it changes sometimes it has a couple of listings for Carbon Fibre and others none and don't forget to up the amount if you want a lot of it as you can get from 5-15 per run depending on what you pick.

The carbon fiber is in level 4 of Ingals Mine so that is what you have to commission, each time they bring back about 12 and it was not cheap it costs over 3000 gols each commission. It's in the deep ruin starting at about level 40something you can get 2 per level on many of the levels and it's much easier to get through that ruin once you have the new monkey suit.

@Babushka-no-ecchi

Hmm have you cleared ingal mines already ?
They usually dont offer missions in a dungeon you havent cleared yet.
Coock a few of your fishes to make buffing meals (def, attack and healing mainly), get your best weapons (one gun one sword/hammer) and outfit and go clear ingal mine already !
Maybe you'll need to respec with Oppai-kun to give yourself better combat skills too.

I never cleared level 4 in Ingals mine and was still able to commission it, maybe it is because my npc is married to Arlo. I did the acupuncture and maxed out the fighting skills before going through the deep ruin and I think it helped a lot along with the new clothes.

Yes go to Civil Corp have them farm Ingals mine for Carbon Fiber. Best return. I was getting 4 Carbon Fiber in my mail box every time I sent them.

Easy Peasy

Commissioning the Civil Corps' to do level 2, 3, or 4 of the mines will get you Carbon Fiber x5. It doesn't matter if you don't see it listed as possible loot.

You get more if your spouse is a civil corps member, I got 12 each time from commissioning level 4.

And 75 instead of 50 from worn fur.

Funny thing, I just cleared Level 4 myself, and... that was shockingly easy. Level 3 was worse than 4 was.
(Maybe it's cause there were fewer floor than I expected?)

The only problem I had with it... was I misjudged the 5 hours (plus 45 minute Dee-Dee trips), and nearly missed my date with Phyllis.

Maybe it was easy for you but I couldn't find my way through the maze of level 4 even with the map, I found it very frustrating and gave up after about the 20th try.
