Can I wait before accepting side-missions?

I'm currently on Y2 M1 D1 and there's this side quest that popped up with story implications, is it possible to not accept it until I have made a decision on how I want the story to progress?

It's the mission from (spoiler: person) Albert about (spoiler: mission description) Romancing Sonia . I don't know how I want this situation to unfold just yet so I rather just leave it be for now, but if that means the quest will disappear and I won't be able to do it anymore, ever, I should make up my mind soon.

It is a secondary mission with a time limit of 28 days; You do have 2 choices for an outcome. I'm not sure if secondary missions appear again, my memory says no, I could be wrong; Someone will correct me ~~ I'm sure. ;) The rewards are +$300 & +300 exp. I chose the first option (there was no way I wanted to purchase option 2) ~~ both to me were friends only. At that time, nothing advanced, with my choice. Not sure if my response will help you...

You can always accept the mission & let it expire ~~ not sure what the negative consequence is in rejecting a secondary mission.

Just not sure what I want in regards to outcome yet :(

Wonder if the 28 days also start counting as soon as the quest becomes available before it permanently goes away. Or not.

I wouldn't see why the countdown would begin, without your acceptance.

In my experience with other side quests, if you take too much time deciding if you accept the mission or not, the character stops asking you and you can't do it again... So yeah I'd say you better make up your mind soon enough. I can't tell though how long exactly you can stall, sorry.
It's one of the (relatively) little things I regret about this game, I think those NPCs side quests should at least come back once a year, especially when you get unlucky and you get many missions almost at the same time, it's a pity it's not the case.

So now, on Y2 M1 D7, the mission disappeared. Not sure if it'd come back after a while, don't want to find out because if not I'd have to roll back.
