Carol's clothing inventory?

Does Carol's clothing inventory offer higher level armor as my character level increases? If not, then how do you get better armor as you level up?

You obtain clothing when you complete certain levels in ruin diving and also on side missions eg with Mali etc. Once you rebuild Carol's sewing machine, which she leaves outside & to the left of her business ~~ you will be able to continually upgrade the stats on your wardrobe. As you level up ~~ the machine will revise your clothing to the highest level it can. If you wish, be sure to return, to continually revise your clothing. If I missed something, I'm sure someone else will help as well. ;)

You can also get clothing from exchanging the badges from the festivals like a martial arts suit, fishing attire, winter attire from snowball fight, and those clothes provide certain levels of hp as well.

Yeah, I got a Fisherman's shirt and Martial Arts pants (so fashionable!), but the level is lower than I am. Carol hasn't mentioned her sewing machine. But I'm glad to know I can someday upgrade my clothing stats.

There is some better gear in her shop, but it's expensive! Thanks for the explanation.

Also at a certain point (at least for females-I haven't played the male side) you can purchase clothing at Carol's with some of a monster drop in increasing amounts. This means you don't have to waste your money on getting better clothing. It is slower but for me it is worth not dishing out the cash.

@hmgrammy: I'm not sure what you mean by buying clothing with monster drop.

You use flexible fiber that you get from the special higher level monsters (cotton lama, Mrs. Ladybug, etc.) to purchase the clothing. I think the first set available to purchase this way you need 10 flexible fiber for each piece. Not sure what the trigger is whether it is completely story progression or also a time progression trigger but I have had it show up at Carol's around the Portia bridge missions/Martial Arts Tournament timing.

Yes @hmgrammy I think it's the only option to purchase certain clothing apparel at Carol's is with the flexible fiber.
Also used for clothing upgrades. As hmgrammy mentioned loot from Cotton Llama, Courteous Bunny etc ~~ Mae found them in chests on Starlight Island & loot from Ingall's Mine (any level).
