(for those wanting Co-op in this kind of game. After you finished Zombotron, try Guns, Gore & Cannoli. There are 2 games in that series and actually play a lot like this game, but with a gangster setting instead of sci-fi)
However, I found GG&C2's enemy encounters too scripted, and because GG&C2 doesn't have as deep an inventory system nor the 3 character attributes to assign points to as Zombotron does, I didn't find GG&C2's online co-op worth sticking around for in the long term. The "carrot" for most players in an online co-op game is either character advancement (passive skills and/or active ability unlocking) or upgrading of weapons, better loot etc.
Or a global campaign everyone contributes to as in say, Helldivers.
I think a Zombotron co-op game would have to be WAAAAAAAAAAAY more challenging because aside from the boss encounters Zombotron is generally more a casual players game. Though I've really enjoyed it very much. :) In co-op it would just be a joke in difficulty without some serious beefing up of enemies in some way, imho.
