Awesome point and click/hidden object/time-resources management game, suitable for kids and casual gamers and with dozens of levels providing a lot of fun, and since everything's timed, a lot of challenges.
It goes exactly as the same as the previous chapter, requiring no specific review.
You'll have to clear every map answering to the objectives above - namely, using and managing food, wood and gold (and using super-powers like fast run, fast work, more resources etc.) in order to build things, remove obstacles and ultimately getting to the end point, which may be to clear the road, collect particular items and such.
Everything is perfectly explained in-game with thorough guides and great colorful graphics.
As always extremely recommended, especially for such a low price. And here we have also an improved graphical compartment that takes on the previous games' great graphics and makes here and there some new tricks that make the overall game look even better.
One can play these games without having played the previous ones, so go with the one you prefer or the one you have in your library.

This is the 7th installment in this series and is very similar to the previous ones - with slight improvements with every new release. If you're already a fan of the series, have completed the previous games and want more ancient Greece themed time management then you don't need to read on - this is definitely for you!

For those who aren't entirely sure what's going on here, the 12 Labours of Hercules is a time management puzzle game. This inexpensive series gives you control of Hercules, his family and minions and are given a level to complete. This level will require you to click different things in order to complete a goal, such as flicking a switch, repairing a bridge, collecting enough food, rescuing someone, etc. This sounds really simple, but the puzzle element is how you get to your goal in the time available. There are always multiple different things you can do and choices to be made and you have to figure out how to be efficient by clicking in the right order and activating your boosts wisely.

When you start a level the timer isn't running, so you can have a bit of a think and evaluation of the board and plan your strategy. Once you get going, the levels are fast paced and short, usually less than 5-10 minutes. You're awarded completion score and stars based on your time and whether you met the target. There's a developer time set, and one of the achievements is to beat 20 developer times - which turns this casual puzzle game into quite a challenge!

The first game released in 2015 and there's been enough demand to release a total of 7 games now, with the latest iteration offering more of the same - but with expanded levels, new environments and improved graphics. I do think that as time has gone by, the series has started offering more challenge and realized that it's target audience isn't just time wasting mobile puzzling - but those who are genuinely interested in the strategy of time management and getting a high score so now it caters to both audiences.

If you've never played one before, I'd actually recommend starting with the newest and then working your way backwards if you complete everything and want more.

Fleecing the Fleece is the kind of time management game that is difficult to tell what it wants, because it is too simplistic for returning players but too difficult and fast-paced for newcomers.

12 Labours of Hercules VII: Fleecing the Fleece shows some signs of the series getting tired or getting a bit confused on its own goals and intended player demographic.

The most evident sign is gameplay; most of the distinct elements that characterised this series for six games have disappeared, leaving only the most basic time management formula: use servants to gather resources, and then spend those to build production buildings or to clear obstacles.

This simplification would indicate something made for newcomers, but the level design contradicts that. The core problem is food production: sources replenish fast but yield little, and every task costs a lot. This means most levels require a frantic pace to keep workers busy, and the goal times are exceedingly harsh (the developer high scores even more so).

The result is a difficulty that can please series veterans, because the challenge level is fun, despite the simplistic gameplay. Still, it offers small chance for newcomers to beat the game on anything but the lowest setting.

While this game is fun in terms of strategy and time management
I do not like beating developer record 20 times. Yes, it is more frusturating than a challenge.
If I want a challenge there are better challenging games like Dark Souls series or Civ series

Jetdogs Studios presents their 7th game in the 12 laborers of Hercules series! Complete with absolutely nothing new! Prepare for the same old game! For the seventh time! Yet, somehow, you’ll still watch the interesting story, enjoy the relaxing gameplay, get 100% of the achievements, and sit back satisfied with your cheap, fun purchase. How do they do it? Who knows! Who cares! Now come on folks! Buy, buy, buy!

As Hercules, you’re put in charge of one or more of your personal slaves erm, I mean “laborers”. You may tell each to preform various tasks in order to complete an ultimate goal, whatever that may be for the level. Although limited, each level has various strategies and paths giving a since of independence without worrying to much about which one is the “right” or “wrong” way to do it. You may also decide to invest in the buildings, totems, or your base in order to improve resource production. In those aspects, it’s very much unchanged from the other games. This way, you’re relaxed but not to the point of vegging out. Truly optimal for a casual game.

In my book, good music is a must have for any casual game. It adds depth, feeling, and, often enough, a more relaxing experience. Thankfully, Jetdogs has accomplished just that. It’s nothing spectacular but it certainly passes. The sounds are very much the same. They aren’t abrasive or obnoxious which, in my mind, qualifies them as good enough. As for the art, I was pleasantly surprised. With each 12 laborers of Hercules game made, the developers have slowly, but surely, improved the graphics with each game. It’s nothing drastic, but I personally appreciative the upgraded look.

I really love a good story when playing a casual game. I find it adds heaps of character and interest to any game but specifically one from this genre. Sadly, this game doesn’t excel in this department. Not that the storytelling is bad. But it just doesn’t add anything to the game. Even so, I don’t feel like it’s lacking in this way per say, but a little more effort in this department would be nice. Concerning the achievements, no doubt the developers have concentrated effort in perfecting this category. With great variety and difficulty curve, the achievements might be my favorite part of this game. They’re easy enough to not be overwhelming but challenging enough to not bore you. Keep up the good work in this area developers!

Does this game stand out in the Twelve Laborers of Hercules series in any way? No. Does it have a minding blowing story? No. Does it have a super relaxing atmosphere, decent music, good art, fun gameplay, a few neat collectibles, superb achievements, and a frick fracking cheap price?!?! YOU KNOW IT DOES!!! I salute you once again Jetdogs for, somehow, hooking me on a game for the seventh time! Outstanding work! And I can’t wait to play your next game!

It is another really nice clear the road type of management game in the series. My only complaint is the stupid "Beat a Developer's Record 20 Times" achievement which is just annoying and makes completing the game an unenjoyable experience if you care about that. I wish they would stop adding them.

Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (6.3-7).

At first these games seemed fine, kind of relaxing for a short bit. But then I realized they sold the same game to me 7 times ...

More of the same, but with a less interesting story than before.
The game runs fine, but the achievements are broken. Some unlock that don;t seem to meet requirements, while ones that do meet requirements do not.
Beating the developer's scores? Good luck with that unless you enjoy trying to memorize a walkthrough video or use a script/mod to play the game for you. I'd rather earn achievements honestly, so this isn't going to happen- not even going to try for the "beat the dev's scores" cheevos.

Not sure when I got this, and what I paid for it (likely part of a bundle of some sort), and even at full price it's not expensive. But you get what you pay for, I guess? If you're addicted to the franchise- sure, go for it, knowing that the game is just more of the same, and has broken achievements that will never be fixed. Otherwise- save your money and get something else.

The "12 Labours of Hercules" series has extremely captivating resource-management games, with beautiful and enjoyable graphics, sound effects and soundtrack. Even though they are casual games, they offer some challenge if played in difficult mode. The achievements are relatively easy to get - by the time you finish the game, you'll probably have gotten them all, or at least have just a couple to complete.

An interesting factor is that with each new title in the series the developers seem to add and improve game mechanics. Although they have a "background story”, the narrative is very simple and each title has its own theme, so there is no need to play them in any specific order.

The cost benefit of the games is very good, since in addition to all having cards, they are also pretty cheap. So far there are 7 games in the series, costing $ 2.99 each or $ 16.73 for the complete pack. Since most of them have been in several bundles and frequent sales, it is quite easy to get them for less than "full price".

*Personally, I recommend buying the complete pack during the big sales (Summer Sale and Winter Sale, around June and December), and you don’t even need to pay the full price if you already have some of the games.

A série “12 Labours of Hercules” contém jogos de gerenciamento de recursos extremamente cativantes, com gráficos, efeitos e trilha sonora bonitos e agradáveis. Mesmo sendo jogos casuais, oferecem certo desafio se jogados no modo difícil. As conquistas são relativamente fáceis de conseguir – quando você terminar o jogo, provavelmente o terá “platinado”, ou terá apenas uma ou outra conquista para alcançar.

Um fator interessante é que a cada novo título da série os desenvolvedores parecem adicionar e melhorar mecânicas de jogo. Apesar de terem uma história de “pano de fundo”, a narrativa é bem simples e cada título tem seu próprio tema, então não há necessidade de jogá-los em uma ordem específica.

O custo benefício dos jogos é muito bom, pois além de todos terem cartas, também são bem baratinhos. Até o momento existem 7 jogos na série, custando R$ 6,29 cada, ou R$ 35,21 o pacote completo. Como quase todos estiveram em vários bundles e promoções frequentes, é bem fácil consegui-los por um valor menor que o “preço cheio”.

*Pessoalmente recomendo comprar o pacote completo durante as grandes promoções (Promoção de Verão e Promoção de Inverno, no meio e no fim do ano), com a vantagem de não precisar pagar o valor integral caso já possua alguns dos jogos.
