HL2 Anniversary Update
So my question for the devs is, are there plans to update the separate VR Mods or are you guys planning on converting all 3 VR mods into one like the update? I realize everything came out today, so i'm not in any rush. You guys have done an incredible job and the last thing i'd want to do is upset anyone

Yes, thank you developers! I too am very hopeful that we see the new content ported to VR!

It would be awesome to update the VR version with the HL2 Anniversary Update fixes, especially all the fixes to the maps, the geometry, holes, seams etc it would be very beneficial to VR although I do know a lot of stuff has been fixed already compared to the OG HL2 release.

To me the VR Mod is the ultimate way to play HL2 period, so merging the Anniversary Update along with the RTX assets and goodies would ensure that this truly ends up being the Ultimate way to play Half-Life 2, fingers crossed that it happens!

Valve would have to release an updated Source SDK, first. I don't know if they have any plans to ever do so or in what timeframe. But even if they do, updating the VR mod would likely not be a trivial matter, and I'm afraid it is currently not very likely that we will have the time or motivation to do so.

Well thank you for your fast reply. I must say after playing Alyx I enjoyed the HL2 VR mods so much!
I was hoping that porting this update to the VRmod would be relative easy, so thank you for getting that into perspective for me. Still I'm just going to wait it out.
Maybe someday, someone....
Anyway I love the VRMods and can not thank you enough for them.

my apologies for the earlier comment. i didnt do the proper research and saw that the VR mods do work with the update as standalone. i thought i saw that the update broke the mods. with that, i honestly won't worry if the mods don't get updated so long as i can play them. if they do get updated in the future, then i will be thrilled regardless

It is unfortunate that it might be more trouble than it's worth to update the mod. I really wanted to do the developer commentary in VR, but since the mod still works great, I can't be upset.
