can i turn off spread/recoil for pistol?
aiming with my wobbly hand through sights fells enough of a challenge already...

I recommend using one hand to aim and shoot while resting it on your other for easier aim control!

The pistol has a lot of recoil to make it a little more difficult. Shoot, wait a split second then shoot again and you should be fine.

Two-handed weapons like the submachine gun should always be handled with both hands if you want accuracy.

The pistol doesn't feel right imo. Should feel more like HL:A's one

Feels fine to me. I'd just like hand models on the revolver, shotgun, and pulse rifle please.

the pistol takes some getting used to since it's not like HL:Alyx pistol ( i ran out of ammo fighting the first metrocops! ) but once you're used to it its easy

The recoil to it makes it feel floaty and really horrible to shoot. It also constantly makes you miss shots so you have to fire it really slowly.

They say it will take a while, but the weapons will continue to be tweaked. For instance, the pistol still has the ugly legacy recoil.

Yep, This happens often in this section on normal+ difficulty even playing it on a monitor.

Yeah, the pistol feels off, and should feel of to anyone who has played any other VR Game, While recoiling it doesn't matter where the muzzle is really pointing, if you just point your hand towards the enemy and start spraying you will still hit in the general direction and not the sky, even if the gun points up there sometimes. Seems like they just took the original recoil animation and spray pattern and slapt it in here. I can understand that, because of the nostalgia, you instantly recongnise HL2, by the gun alone. But feeling wise they should have reworked it, as it is the first weapon you get to fire, and in VR it is more impotant, that it feels right.
Nonetheless its a monumental achievment, and i cannot imagine what they went through just to get the pistol in there like it is now, so i will not complain, as i basically got a AAA VR Game for free.

Absolutely. I won't complain. I'm having a blast being IN the game this time through! However, if your weapon is flailing around at angles like that on each shot IRL, you should probably not fire any more rounds until someone helps you get a grip on your grip...
