Are mods safe?

As the trendy server is down im thinking of donloading a couple of mods for open mode, but i dont what to get banned.

If i download a mod, does it automatically disable itself when i play ranked, or is there any risk of being banned?

Is there any risk to my Ranked save data from mods? I dont care if my open save gets wiped or corrupt but i care about my ranked one.

ive basically downloaded two mods which boost me to lvl100 and give me the best gear, just to mess around with for a couple of hours while they fix the server.

No, mods only work on the "offline" mode (i.e. the non-Trendy/Steam server option). So you will not get banned at all, regardless of whatever mod you choose to use.

Do note that when using a mod through this method, any characters you've used in the conventional online mode will NOT be used, so in other words, if you haven't used this option before, you'll have to create new characters for it.

Thanks, i already had a lvl22 app from before i realised there was a difference in the modes :)
