Foundry and ship equipment
During my first playthrough I could build in the foundry the ship equipement I had already found.
In Lightspeed edition I can build in the foundry only the Smoke expeller, Android Hulls II, and obviously the Omega drones.
Is it working as expected?

I heard nothing about dropping functionality. Which other ship equipment have you found?

Huh ... many, Chaos Aorta I, II, III, Paste Capillaris, Chitinus Injection IV, and others. I could build those I had discovered in Starbase Commander, but no longer.
The Chruul equipment wasn't ever supposed to be buildable. Paste Capillaris are the one piece of equipment I can build (besides the Omega Drones). I've got an Amygdalic Projector II, Discipline Machines I and II, Psychic Sensors I, Smoke Expeller I and III (5x I's), and a Tetryon Hull III. That's not counting the organic stuff. I'm wondering if you have to get the equipment from an overkill in order to get the recipe.

And then there's the fact that you need the Foundry to be built before you can start learning recipes. That could be the problem. (Maybe we should get the recipe if we scrap the equipment?)

EDIT: I forgot the projector was organic.

I just earned Discipline Machines III and IV, and they can be built in the foundry.

The other objects were collected after the foundry was built, I have Paste capillaris, but I can't build it. It is quite a minor problem, I don't use ship equipment, I don't like the increased vulnerability at all. I'm bad at maths, but earning 20 aim points to lose 20% resistance against two conditions seems only dangerous. But I do like to understand game mechanics. Thanks for the insight.
