Egg farm ?

I built a tower and set up 15 bird nests a long time ago and i didnt get a single egg yet , only 1/3 of nests actually get birds on them and they only leave feathers

I have a rather large raft and i built the tower on the end i dont usually go to so im not anywhere near them , am i too far away ?is the tower too tall ?(dont thinks so , its only 4 walls high)

I would app any tips and/or ideas

Since the Domesticated Update the seagulls no longer lay eggs so you only get feathers from bird nests now. In order to get eggs, you needs to capture and tame Cluckers found on large islands.

Also , no matter where i build my medium crop plot farm seagulls can pass thru walls and eat my crops .. any idea how to fix this ?

Enemies clip through stuff in search of their target. Until they fix that, the only solution is to play peaceful.

Also, they don't eat trees, so go on the mango and fish diet. Yum!
