where do I find the recorder?

I was just about to make this post. I read up and it's apparently meant to be in the engine room, but I've been over it so much and nothing :(

i've done everything else so all i have left in this ship is the recorder.

Same here, combed the ship 5 times and still can't find it.

I found it in the lowest level of the ship. It may be in the engine room, or one of the other rooms on that level. But I do remember boarding the ship and entering the dark hall before the engine, and the recorder was one of the earliest items I picked up, along with a (strangely one-use) crowbar.

yeah I looked over the engine room and whole ship for over an hour none stop and did not find it :( there was nothing left in that ship that i could get... I guess mine glitched

If you are missing a quest item submit a report and the you will most likely receive it. Or go to the discord and ask modmail there.
