Building, huh, water, huh?

Couldn't figure out how to use the building hammer. Very awkward. Then I couldn't find water and died, died, died, from not being able to find water.

Because I put the hammer in slot 9 it wouldn't work. I had to actually replace the hook with the hammer to get it to work. For 10 minutes I tried to get it to work in slot 9. It just wouldn't create ot build unless it was in slot 1. This game has been early access 3, 4, 5 years and they're still having code issues with semaphores, really, pretty basic code to be messing up.

Can someone please tell me how to find water. How to get water. Nothing I pull in with the hook has water. There is no hint on how to get water. Nothing what works in the real world works here.

I'm starting to suspect all the positive reviews are fakes.

Nowhere in the game does the show you how to get water. Nothing at all. No hints, no tutorial, just dead, dead. Then you have to look it up on the Internet which is highly annoying when in game documents can do the same thing.

Valheim $19.00 I got 260 hours playing with no issues understanding crafting, how to get food and water, no issues with building, no problems at all. But now with this game I just started playing, one hour in game, and it's horrible.

No way the positive reviews are real. The only reviews you can believe on steam now are the negative reviews.

You need to craft Simple Purifier[raft.fandom.com] and a cup then use the Purifier to turn salt water into fresh water.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I've requested a refund. To make the basic of getting water so hard is obtuse. No information in the game about what's going on and you just die over and over. Once I figured out to build a water catcher, I couldn't get it to work. All it would say is remove with the X button. It was completely built, I had a cup and it would work before I died. I tried everything too. I had my building hammer in slot 9 and it wouldn't select. I couldn't get it to build in slot 9, 8,7,6,5,4,3,2 but if I replaced the plastic hook it would then allow me to build parts of the raft. Nope, no thanks.

As I said, Valhiem, no issues getting food and water. Grounded no issues with getting food and water. Nah, you don't make a game hard by making the necessities almost impossible to figure out how to get.

Sad to hear that.

You probably did not add planks to the purifier. It's also really only difficult for around first 2 hours or so of the game. Once you learn the basics and get to more advanced cooking and water purifying methods it becomes lot easier.

Nor sure what the issue with your building hammer was. You should be able to use the hammer in any quick slot to build as long as you have the hammer selected.

I said it was completed. I added the planks. I did everything I should have and shame on you for trying to blame it on me. The game is a wreck. Don't fanboy at me. I play plenty of other survival games which you would have seen if you even bothered to check my profile before contradicting me.

I learned the basics. I WENT ON LINE AND LOOKED IT ALL UP. As I had already said in a previous post.

I was merely trying to figure out what could possibly have gone wrong with your game and identify if it's simply user mistake or a bug that needs to be reported, but if that's how you're going to take it, then so be it.
