Turn off hunger and thirst?
Is there a way to turn off hunger and thirst for exploring Balboa Island? My character needs to drink 50 litres of water a day to not die apparently... like I have to eat and drink non stop plus there is no food and water on this huge island except for crates, not a single harvestable tree (Why??) I had to come back to the island 4 times already, because I ran out of wood and then food and this is getting so annoying.

Not without mods like KUtility.

There are few harvestable Pine/Birch trees scattered throughout the island though it's been awhile so can't really describe them.

Didn't bears drop meat? :lunar2020thinkingtiger: And fishing is always an option for food.

I had no issues with Balboa but that's probably because I play on easy so hunger and thirst are easier to handle and I had few chests full of wood when coming there. I always spend quite awhile gathering resources before going to story location as they tends to take many days to clear.

Yeah there's meat from bears but no way to cook it without making the long, long trek back to the raft - and eating it raw only makes the thirst situation worse!

I'm with OP I think Balboa should have more edible fruits scattered around or trees with fruits. I know it's less Tropical but would be willing to suspend disbelief if I could eat an occasional Coconut or Mango!
Water bottles and water melons are a MUST while exploring. Mango, pineapple, and coconuts are also useful to help keep your thirst topped up.
I also suggest a cooking pot investment. A truly full hunger bar should past you in almost every island and you can only get that through cooking pots.

i find bringing some bottles of water 20 beets or potatoes to eat will exploring is good way to keep you from going back and forth also norm have 5 cooked shark dinners with me in case i run out of food :) know it takes up some space still its better then running around :)

How long are you spending on the island? One, maybe 2 bottles of water max, and some cooked shark meat would last a long time.

For me, I didn't have a backpack yet as this was my first island with bears, so I had to run back to the ship to unload (which is more annoying)

Don't sprint. Look for small pine trees for wood.

You can create a backpack anytime between the radio tower and Balboa, even before getting to the Vasagatan

KUtility is a trojaner. I get a warning from Norton. So dont trust them

There are no viruses in the Modloader, or Kutility. What you are getting is a false positive. I have several security programs, and none of them react to any of them. I wouldn't trust Norton if you paid me.

RIP my old self. A few years ago I clearly had bad stuff going on my machine. Strangely back then, the footprints of *that* wasn't recognized by any online resource except Norton. Hopefully things are different nowadays.

You can always throw in an alternate name, maybe it will happen to help someone.
