When do you start seeing big islands?

I've been playing for 7 hours, and I only stumble across little islands with rarely anything on them.

Do you have the monitor and three antenna's built yet. This is key to finding your first large island.

You need to build a Receiver and 3 Antennas and then use the Receiver to find Large Islands.

game starts, started collecting stuff, parked at a few islands, got enough stuff to craft radar and stuff, install battery, fire it up, wa-la....the giant radio tower is 200m right in front of me...

its my second play through, so i wonder. well, this time was easy....

makes sense after the introduction of the big isles, still it would be nostalgic to come across one every once in a while :)

Well not very much loot on it - so yeah pretty much only nostalgic value in it.

wrong, i have found this radio tower 3 times aready.. sailed way for 2 day then fired up radar and found it aagin... i would love to find a large island but only have found the radio tower and the very small islands..

Try setting your sail with the current to achieve maximum speed. I did that for about 2 or 3 in game days and then turned on the receiver and saw the old radio tower about 1200M away but saw a new green dot 500M in a different direction. Turned out it was the big island. Give it some time before firing up the receiver again. :)
