Bees

Its says I can find more honey and bees on large islands, but i haven't found anything. The only place I can find bees is on balboa island and I have to keep going back there if I need more. Am I just unlucky or is it a bug? I'm on multiplayer with friends if that changes anything.

Any large island has a chance to be a bear island. You will find them on the bear islands.

It is luck and RNG on which large island you get.

Wait theres more than one bear island?

I though Balboa Island was the only island that had bears?

Nope once you been to Balboa any large island can be a bear island.

Small Bear Islands spawn ONLY in the opposite direction.
So you have to build engines,swimm in the opposite direction and let the coordinates of the Balboa Island in your computer.
But PLEASE be careful. Bears on the new Islands are a little buggy. They respawning after 1 or 2 Minutes after full looting.

This is not true. I go with the wind and have found bear islands. Any large island can be a bear island once you have been to Balboa.

Switch your frequency to balboa island and the big islands should spawn as bear islands or at least there should be a chance that they spawn. Also check this guide for the different kinds of bear islands:
