Stuck with finding secret island

Hi,
Does the receiver helps in finding secret island with big ship? I am stuck with it... This is so boring, I wasted many hours on using the receiver to find the secret island. Do you have any suggestions about finding it? Is receiver helping with finding that big island or it helps only with large islands? Help ASAP please.

If you mean Vasagatan story location (big luxury yacht), then yes, you NEED receiver to find it. You can't find any Large Islands without having it (Story locations show as blue dots and other Large islands show as green dots on it). Once you have set up the receiver and 3 antennae and turn the receiver on for the first time, you should receive frequency code for first Story location in your journal (T), the Radio Tower. On it you can find the frequency code you need for Vasagatan and on Vasagatan you'll find the code for Balboa Island.

Btw, you've been lucky to find Captain's Island (usually referred as ship wreck island here) during your first 17 hours of play. I've clocked over 50 hours and no luck so far. The ship wreck island and plane crash island can only be found by pure change and god of RNG does not favor many of us unfortunately.

According to you achievements, you've found rare Captain's Island that is classed small island (has small ship wreck on it). Finding that island is pure change (and change is very low) as I said above and has nothing to do with receiver as you can find it with or without one. As far as I know, small island don't even show on receiver.

If you have activated the receiver, in your journal (press 't') there should be note containing the frequency for Radio Tower. Here's mine:

Well you don't understand me. Receiver helped me in finding the island with captain's hat - it was showing the blue dot. But will receiver help me in finding the island with luxury ship? Or is it only luck?

Felippemns, I dont think you understand what hes saying. you noticed the 4 numbers next to the receiver? if you see the picture of that journal, see the numbers on each page, if you put in the first number of your own journal, a new target will show up on your receiver.

That's news to me. Odd that no one else who has found that island mentioned it. Only blue dots I've ever seen on receiver have been the story locations.

I explained it already. Put the code for Radio Tower from your journal into receiver and radio tower will stow on your Receiver. On Radio Tower you can find code that allows you to locate Vasagatan. You can only find story locations (Radio Tower, Vasagatan and Balboa Island) using the codes, they can't be found by change.
