I lost the machete

I lost the machete and its blueprint and the light bulb when I died. Now the tool box where I found the machete and blueprint is gone.

I fear they are gone for good and I will have to start a new game from scratch

All blueprints are immediately researched upon entering your inventory, just go to the research table to learn it.

The light bulb should stay in your quest inventory(the journal), as for the machete you already learned the blueprint by picking it up, just go to your research table and you can research it.

Small hill near the center of Balboa islands there is a campfire + mannequins. The lightbuld is on one of them.

I didnt even die and I lost the machete and what light bulb? I already have the headlamp though.

I checked at the crating table and the recipe for the machete is not present.

I checked the journal and the light bulb is not present as a quest item

I wonder if this is a bug.

No way am I starting over from scratch. I have pretty much rage-quit this game for mow

I thought I read that you can always get a new version of any island. Maybe you could do that to get the stuff you need again?

UPDATE: I contacted technical support through their webpage and now now the chest/toolbox with the machete and the blueprint, and also the light bulb are back for me to re-acquire.

I don't know if TS did this for me specifically via tweaking my cloud saves or whether the recent update did it. Regardless it is fixed and my thanks to TS

There are two Caves, You need to go to the one with the "Mother-Bear" and the blue Tub for Berries ...
