you should check raft guide. for story at first, build 3 antennas and 1 receiver and a battery to give power them. then there is a coordinate which is belong to radio tower, you can see when you press T.. then it continues like that

Once you get to the top of the oil rig you unlock the next part. One of the notes on the rig will give you a four digit number, you then change the number on the radar to the new number and it will guide you to next part of the story. Make sure you pick up the headlamp blueprints as the head headlamp is very useful in the next part.
