In the beginning just sell all buildings except power station and the 2 buildings for the enclosure. Then buy lots of herbivores for the enclosure which should give you a decent amount of cash flow. From then on just continue as usual.

I managed to prosper in this island by just selling the innovation centre, some unused roads, and some unused pylon towers, stores were left untouched and proved to be very useful until then end

I sold everything and started again fresh, I leaped back and forth to my first island that is 5 stars to send expedition teams out, then I went back to Isla Tacano to sell the fossils when they came in.. Great way to make money. :)

I sold everything, put down fossil place and research and expedition, went back an island, expeditioned from there while researching.
then i went back to tocano and sold all fossils i couldnt extract, rinse repeat.
then i put down all power stations at starting zone, and a ranger and acu. made enclosures all up on the left hand side for herbs, made all on right for carns. built a monorail and a second imcubation area for the carns. put down takeaways/hotels etc along major attractions and made the money to slowly expand from there

Yeah the good old fossil sharing exploit :) It's perfectly doable without though, just try to maximize your cash per minute in the beginning and don't build any buildings that you don't immediately require yet or which don't make money.

It's not an exploit really, if they didnt want you to do it they should have just had it as research not a slot on the building

Yeah not a true exploit I guess but It is kind of a cheesy tactic since it takes away any difficulty that the game has left. But don't worry, everyone can play the game as he want's, it's not like it's a multiplayer game and would give you an unfair advantage. Just mentioning that there are other ways to do it other than profiting from your other islands.

Yeah, i managed to do the other ones without this, just found it mildly boring without the fast forward button, spent a good 2 hours building the first 10 buildings on island 4 without it, so sorna i just said stuff it and did it again. It's not challenging as much as it is just sitting waiting.

There isn’t a better way to get money? I tried the fossil acquisition technique, but it’s very slow.

At a basic estimate, i need enough money to pay for a ranger station (to restock the dinosaur feeder) and enough money to hatch one dinosaur. That can be a bit hit and miss, so theorectically, I need more money then is required for one hatching.

i always sell the innovation center and all but 2-3 shops keeping the ones i can't build yet. i then use that money to build a fossil center and expedition center and sell off all the valuable non-fossils i stocked up on while getting 5 stars on the previous island.
