Well, they would be hard to spot, being 3 feet long and as green as the grass, imagine how hard they would be to spot with the vehicles or if they are tranquilized.
How do we know what any guest wants? There's litterally no Guest pleasing in this game what so ever. At least ont he individual level, heck it's bare bones and basic as basic can be. The sad part? I could of made a mod that fixed so much of this trash but welp, no mod support.
If they were to include them, I think a reptile like house/encousure could be made and depending on what small dinosaurs you find (dig, extract), a section could be added with that dinosaur/creature.
Well, yea, Procompsognathus where coprophagists in the Michael Crichton's novels, but Compsognathus wasn't. It's the Compsognathus that we see in the movies and Procompsognathus in the novels and the Jurassic Park Sega CD game, typicly they are treated as two different dinosaurs.
My worry as far as putting the Compsognathus in the game is that they are too small to be seen from a far way enough distance, with them being only a few feet long and green in color, would make it difficult to see when you have to tranqilize it or spot it from the vehicles, also as far as putting it in a building, we already cant see inside any of the shops so It would have to be some sort of small open air pen, and preferably with no chance of excapeing.
I thought it was obviously just a made up excuse to breed a hybrid. People don't get bored of watching animals like tigers in zoos, there's no way in ten years seeing a living Dinosaur would bore people.
Regardless of what species they decided to switch around to, neither of them had an exhibit. If guests saw them, it was random chance. That was my point, they are too small to have a pen like the exihibited dinos on the lists and were used to collect poo.
To my second point. A small exhibit does not need to be made with the current fence tools, it could be a small prebuilt fence area roughly the size of a gift shop, that you can click on and choose whatever small creature you wanted. Because of the small size, it could be something auto-filled simply by having a hatchery on the map, because the tiny eggs don't need a full incubation slot.
Think of roughly petting zoo size, but with small concrete walls to keep the animals in, like the outdoor reptile exhibits that house things like turtles (obviously, that won't work for a compy, but what about a touch pool with trilobites? A tiny microceratops pen that guests can feed through the viewer?)
As you the building, you are correct that we can not see inside the current buildings. What is to say they don't make something like the viewing deck, but extend the glass out for a small area, roughly the size of a research center, and have the animal animations in the glass. Like the glass animal attractions in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 or the small animal buildings from Zoo Tycoon 2. Nothing fancy, just a building I can plop down that has some stuff moving about.
This is true, though it really is just the Procompsognathus that did that in the novels.
Exactly my point aswell though I may have worded it odd, a prebuilt outdoor pen is what I was thinking of, I just don't know if they would be treated as part of the building, or seperate dinos that are placed inside it after extracting the dna and hatching them.
Maybe.
Depends on if they add those features or not, with the current system in place a small Dinosaur like the Compys just wouldn't work, and will be too hard to spot if it excapes or needs to be photographed/healed/ tranqilized/moved ect.
Yar. At this point, we just cross our fingers and wish for luck on that roadmap.
I think the overhead icons, the top hud (click to center on) alongside the overhead map view make this pretty easy, even if you can't see them very well :P
Mind you, I hold the same opinion on the sleeping animation used to 'show a sick dino'... even though the above 3 tools are extremely effective at doing the same... let's repurpose something else so there's 4 ways :)
Eh, true, but some people don't rely on that function completly, and you cant really use that while tranqing, moving, or photoing Dinosaurs unless you are trying to get a general idea of where they are before. My worry is that if a Compy excapes and is put to sleep, or dies, and is in the grass or in water, it will be hard to find/select, the size of the dinosaur itself can be a handicap in this reguard.
Also imagine trying to manually perform a headshot with the ACU helicopter while it is running from a distance of at least 125m away, that is 3 feet long and is as green as the grass it's standing on, that should give you atleast 3 acheivements right there, and deserve a 4th for managing it on a Compy.
