Simple Structure to achieve 5* rating for Isla Muerta
Since my previous attempt to achieve this rating was a monumental failure due to the guests demanding a bathroom, toy store and restaurant next to every viewing platform and the hotels, I need something quick and preferably small to meet the requirements, if possible.

I removed all the former guest amenities, so this is the available working area.
I expect I'll have to demolish some of the pens too.

So I don't waste time and resources building another failure, I need a better design.

Forget viewing galleries, all they do is make needs much harder to manage. You can achieve 5 star with no visibility as long as you have all other stats above 95%

This means the only buildings to service are the hotels. Makes hubs very easy, hotel, shops, restroom and MR station at each hub.

I know this is the wrong island, but only one i have a shot of atm. Just to show how small you can actually cram a park in.

On the map you are on i just had a similar sliver of guest area south of the arrival hill, and a very small section on the arrival hill. Then the southern most area was research.

I used the central space as an open herbivore area, then the north area for trex with a big forest in between them so rexy always turns back for grassland need, before he reaches the herbivores.

Probs noticed as well, you can flip your designs around, pen in the humans not the dinos. Anyways hope some of that helps :)

So basically, demolish all the viewing platforms and their tourist trap carp, then build around a hotel?
Hopefully one will do, I am uncertain if I have the space to build 2.

Can you imagine what I thought when I saw Isla Pena?
There is not enough space to build anything!
I hope that map doesn't demand a 5* rating, but it probably will, for some unclock.

I think on that island you need two or three hotels.

Hotels count is directly linked to the dino score... In as much as the higher the dino score, the more guests... the more hotels you need. So its kind of best to only just meet the dino score, not blast past it and end up needing a tonne of hotels :)

PS one of my parks got caught in that trap... i needed another hotel for overcrowding, but i was a fair bit above the dino score. The answer was just to remove a few dinos and the overcrowding went down.

Pena really wasn't that bad to manage. Just gotta plan ahead. For example the "arm" kinda in the middle that extends to the west. That is where I put all the research buildings and power stations and such. All the park operations buildings including ranger station and ACU since the map is so small. One large pen in the eastern section. And then like 3-4 pens in the south end with the hub in the middle with of course a monorail leading from the starting area. Just be ready with a jeep once the tornado warning sounds.

So instead of replacing Dinosaurs when they grow old, I should just let their numbers diminish a lot and that should reduce the need for hotels/tourist catering.
Hopefully allowing me to achieve the 5* rating with less difficulty.

I think I don't have the luxury of rebuilding Isla Pena.

Took me a long time to get this design set up and even then, it's sub-optimal.
Notate that the carnivore pen has a lot of power outages because I could not build another power station to feed the entire wall grid.

You can sell them if you dont want to wait, but yeah less dinos, less people, less hotels.

So if the dino score required is say 6000, and you have it on say 8000, then you just made yourself need another hotel for no reason :)

PS Reinstalled because all this talk of the game made me want to play again. Heres my Muerta 5 star, no pens build again, looks like you need 3 hotels for the required dino score :)

Here is my island rating for Isla Muerta:

What areas should I adjust to get 5star rating?
FTWO Sep 11, 2021 @ 11:06pm
Guest Injuries: Severe?

Shelter: Dismal?

Oh boy, you should probably start there. Your Guests are REALLY not happy, lol. Also, might want to add another Hotel, maybe 2 more. And Shelter coverage 100% or close to 100% and use the Shelters when a Storm hits and especially when a dinosaur breaks out, herbivore or carnivore, they both can kill Guests.
Tilarta Sep 12, 2021 @ 3:03am
Yeah, Chungkingsaurus and Draconix were not playing nice with the other herbivores, so they had to go.

Updated stats once I did a basic redesign:

Then this happened:

How is there a Restaurant right there between the hotels and they still want food????

This is me right now:

Yep... Guests are demanding. But 0 Fun, 0 Shopping, 0 places to go to the bathroom while out in the park? Need to keep that up. The only thing that isn't needed is Dinosaur Visibility. That's just a plus, but not needed for Star Rating.
Tilarta Sep 13, 2021 @ 2:24am
Had to do a major redesign of gutter trash, I mean guest amenities, but it is almost ready.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600929111

So what else do I need to do to conplete the push to 5star?
Karmaterrorᵁᴷ Sep 13, 2021 @ 5:53am
You still only got 2 hotels, and you have doubled the dino score so now you are on 6800 guests.

I needed 3 hotels with 5075 guests, and that leaves me on 8% overcrowding. Your probably going to need 4 hotels total now. Or another hotel and loose some dinos.

Whats the overcrowding stat like? Mouse over a hotel to see it :)
FTWO Sep 13, 2021 @ 9:14am
@Karmaterror is right. Everything else you seem to have nailed it... but you're probably a bit overcrowded. Will need a couple more Hotels.
Tilarta Sep 13, 2021 @ 9:25pm
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2601598012

I built 2 more hotels, but since space was limited, I had to move them away from the others.
As soon as I did this, 3 stats plunged to 50% because they were not near the guest services hub.
This got me down to 10% overcrowding, so I estimate I need 5 hotels to make it 0.

Unfortunately, I can't build more tourist hubs to go with the hotels, not unless I conpletely remove the carnivore pen to make the space.

This is why the game makes no sense to me, it's more about the park then the jurassic!!! :wrynscared:
If I wanted a generic park simbuilding game, I would be playing something else.

So I assume my only realistic option is to let the dinosaur population decrease temporarily, to lower the number of incoming guests.
