20% or 75% for map unlock?
So the last update to mention Score Factor says 75% to unlock the second map, but the in-game text says 20%. Which one is correct?

The update got updated or the game text isn't updated? So much ambiguity!

If you read the text you will see it says 20%. You must be on the latest update.

I was just wondering this same thing. Thanks for asking. I think i can do it at 20% lol. Maybe.....

Keep in mind, Lower difficulty does not mean the final horde is different, Simply means there is more time to build.

Alright, thanks, I didn't see any update news that the 75% was lowered to 20%, so I thought maybe the in-game text was never updated to show 75%.

meh.

Yay, I can now move on to a new map without understanding what I am doing wrong. Nice that more people will be able to access more content. I think this is good for players that just want to get to the next map.

Does not replace the need for having saves so we can actually learn to beat the game at harder settings. Also does not fix broken RNG mechanics. I am not interested in moving forward until I can sort out how to beat the game at 100% with a typical RNG map. Please give us the tools necessary so we can do that.

Giving people who just want to advance an option is good.

Not fixing broken starting RNG mechanics is bad. I should not need to re-roll maps just to have a chance at winning at 100%. At higher levels that might make sense, but not at the game's default "average" setting.

I am fairly certain the waves gets smaller at low population. At least it felt so.

Still early access, it would make sense for them to add in resource count or map density as sliders which affect the score. Might happen.

Disagree with the saves thing but if you want to cheese that system then you can probably backup your saves folder a couple days/weeks before the end of the game and keep retrying it.

Just finished 30% and got 2nd map unlocked

What I have said in other threads is adding user initiated save should automatically flag the playthrough as a "training run", and not score it our count it for map unlocks. Just allow the tool for experimenting with different play styles that can later be used in a real game.

Yeah that should be fine as long as it disables achievements or, as you said, disables unlocking Maps.

However I think people with your mindset seem to forget the Devs specifically wanted Survival Mode to be a "hardcore experience". So while it sucks for people that need that extra helping hand in order to win/understand the game ... The Campaign Mode is what the main goal of the game is and should allow for Save/Reload.

But being as how Campaign isn't in, since the Devs rushed to appease people, everyone has to play Survival until then.

Give me a 100% save of a map you consider unwinnable, and I'll give you a 30k score victory tomorrow.

+1

People who look at the starting area and decide it can't be beat and re-roll are in fact hurting their ability to improve at the game.
